I read this today on my lunch break. Pretty crazy to think that he didn't know what was wrong until the next day.

I disagree because, as it always is, it's all about the money. Especially since a lot of guys do come from rough childhood. They'll risk their health for the chance to cash in. I can't blame them really. Knowing the risks, to have the privilege and honor of playing at the highest level, I'd risk my health for some time to set up my family for life.

Other sports will benefit from less kids growing up playing football.

I do agree that the game won't be the same in 10 years, let alone 50. It's not gonna be flag football, but it'll be closer to that then to the old days.

I wonder if they'll talk about bygone eras like we talk about Roman gladiators and stuff. That stuff is crazy to us now, but back then it was just how it was.

Though not surprising, the NFL hyping up the schedule release is pretty damn annoying.

I find the hype for the combine and the 3 month ramp up to the draft to be worse.

Flex scheduling starting week 5 instead of week 8, they've also added cross-scheduling.

            Via Greg Aiello ‏@gregaiello:

NFL schedule makers have been doing Pilates do add more flexibility. Flex scheduling expanded. Cross-flexing added.

Flex scheduling only applies to potentially two Sunday games in flex weeks -- not to any Thursday or Monday night games.

"Cross flexing" means switching a few games between CBS and FOX to bring potentially under-distributed games to wider audiences.

New York @ Detroit on Monday Night to open the season according a report.

Kingkilla, *insert Booker T phrase here*

Edit: Oh, and if you had New York @ St. Louis in week 16, you're still in the running for that Rams money.

Damn, Russell Wilson has filed for divorce.

Superbowl-winning Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson announced Wednesday that he has filed for divorce from his wife Ashton. They were married in January of 2012, a few months before Wilson was drafted by the Seahawks. In a rather strange move, the team released a statement on the matter to the Seattle Times. “I have made the […]

Your Thursday night opener is Seahawks/Packers.

Why do we have to be the sacrificial lamb for Seattle? They couldn't send Dallas instead since they draw "ratings"?

If I'm not mistaken it's always another playoff team but not a divisional opponent that plays against the Super Bowl Champion.

That leaves only the Packers and Broncos as their potential home matches and since the Broncos played in the game last year they probably decided to switch it up a bit.

They could've threw Peyton out there again for them. Give him a chance early on to get his "revenge" lol

Just tired of starting and ending the year with a loss from an NFC West team lol. I'd rather get the Bears to open up the season. Plus I'm not trying to go back down Memory Lane with this Fail Mary nonsense.
