Re: NFL Off Topic
I'm late, but I'm just now seeing all of this. I may have been in the minority, but I liked when Cousins was at the helm. He was slinging it all over the place and Washington was putting up points. If he could have cut his turnovers just a little bit, he would have been solid. Seems like Gruden is all but done with him though. Hadn't heard his name in weeks.
I will say that Colt looked fantastic last week though.Comment

Who was the moron who posted in here a couple days ago assuming Manziel would start?

Haloti Ngata suspended for the final four games of the season for PED use. That one hurts. I guess now we know why he's had such a great bounceback year after being worn down this late in his career.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Looks like another Adderall. Under the new policy, Jason La Canfora points out, if a player claims it was a certain drug the NFL is now allowed to release a statement saying otherwise.
Also didn't realize he could be on his way out either way -
@JasonLaCanfora
Ravens already had a tricky decision looming with Ngata in 2015 given his age, injury history and big salary and cap #. This complicates itComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Yeah his has been one of the big names talked about regarding potential cuts, barring a contract reworking.
But I'm starting to become wary of the adderall line.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I dont know. I mean, I could totally see how useful adderall would be for studying playbooks and film, but its used as the "drug excuse" far too often for sure.Comment

Now if a player tests positive for steroids or something and blamed Adderall the NFL is allowed to release a statement indicating that's not the case.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
It is, and under the previous policy players could say whatever they want and the NFL couldn't say anything. You could test positive for everything under the sun and say it was a bad prescription or something fans can digest a little easier and the NFL couldn't say anything.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Everything is a fight and a negotiation when it comes to the NFL and NFLPA, who crafted this policy together, I don't see why the NFL would fight to put this in if they didn't intend to use it.
More shame and effective punishment if a player can't lie. If the player does not disclose what they used then the NFL won't have to correct them. If they lie, they'll open the door to being embarrassed.Comment
