Hopkins had one heck of a game. 238 yards on 9 catches. Damn.

Apparently Lewis couldn't find an official to call the timeout so he threw the flag.

No issue with that since the Bucs are rushing to the line to spike it. Glad they got it right.

If they were competent and knew how to count Lewis wouldn't have had to do that b/c there was clearly 12 men on the field.

You've said something like this before. Where are you getting that from? He's starting now... that's about all I see that could give you that idea.

Many in here have explained how he could/should be starting but still not be the answer in the future. I haven't heard the Browns confirm or deny the theories in here.

Just can't get over the injuries and suspensions. This is super sad
They've got A LOT more injuries than just Palmer. It's amazing they've got the record they do... was amazing even with Palmer.

As fro the Bucs game, the refs automatically review every questionable play within 2 mins. That's the only reason it's illegal for a coach to throw the challenge flag in that situation. Many coaches (especially in college) call a time out when their worried the other team will rush and run a play before the refs decide the play is under review. During that time out, the refs pretty much always take that time to decide if a play should be under review.

All Lewis did was call a time out. Then the refs did what they're supposed to do.

heading home from the packer-patriot game and even outside of the Patriots losing I've got to say that was a pretty awesome game to watch! Do you guys think this really closes out the disscussion of Rodgers for MVP? I was also wondering if you guys think Rodgers will go down as. A greater QB than Brady?

I'm not denying any of that. That doesn't mean that they should be able to go back and reward a guy for illegally challenging a play.

And I don't think they should be able to challenge one penalty if they can't challenge any others but to each their own.

There's still a lot of season left. Too many in the hunt to say any one has locked down the title at this point.

As for Rodgers over Brady, there have been a lot of players with great bursts of years but don't have the longevity of all time greats. If Rodgers just keep doing what he's doing, I'd most definitely put him ahead of Brady at the end of his career (assuming Brady doesn't do any more for the rest of his career, and that it will be over in the next few years). Another SB would be good too.

Just have to hope there aren't any game changing injuries or seasons with devastating offensive lines. He's dealt with that fine in the past, but it also lead to more hits and injuries. If he can stay upright, I'd say he's on his way.

Too many men on the field is an either/or call. No judgment involved. It should absolutely be reviewable.

Absolutely, except when the refs miss it and then they review the play off an challenge lol.

                                Still don't get the issue.

That's how it works the entire game until the last two minutes. Why should the Bengals be punished beyond the 15 yards he was happy to sacrifice because the refs are the ones that screwed up?

If I'm the Bengals I'm mad I had to give up 15 yards because of refs incompetency. I'm dumfounded at the fact that there are fans crying foul against the Bucs lol.
