Nah, Fisher comes from the Buddy Ryan line of "play as dirty as you can until you're caught". He's not as extreme as Buddy was at times but Fisher has that in him. Doesn't help that Williams is on that staff though.

I guess Bayless forgot that people can look up tweets.

That's up to him. He needs to put in a ton of work to improve his game over the offseason. He also doesn't need to be throwing his shoulder into NFL defenders to try and gain 2 meaningless yards. This isn't the SEC.

Somehow, almost impossibly, his mechanics seem to have gotten worse. He is slipping as he is throwing, constantly off the back foot, and to add on top of all that, he gets hurt in only his second start.

Literally every criticism of Manziel is coming to fruition and none of the positives are showing themselves. Manziel may need about 3 to 4 more years just to become an NFL player.

While it certainly hasn't looked good so far, he hasn't even played 2 full games yet.

                              Re: NFL Off Topic

The troubling thing is, i'd kind of understand him lowering his shoulders to gain a couple more yards if it was 3rd and 4 or something similar. Instead he does it on a 2nd and 10 (I believe) I mean how reckless and stupid is that?!

One of the major criticisms of Manziel even in his college days was that he was always a terrible practice player who never looked good during the week leading up to games. This was one of the reasons why Hoyer got the starting gig in the first place. If Manziel wants to be a top flight NFL QB he's going to have to take the game more seriously and actually bust his butt in practice rather than waiting around til gameday.

I wouldn't say his career is DOA yet but let's just say, he's closer to joining the long list of failed QBs for the "New Browns" than being the next Bernie Kosar.

Refresh my memory - wasn't the same thing said about Tim Tebow?

Not trying to draw a comparison between Manziel and Tebow, the jury is still way out on Manziel obviously, but it remains interesting to me that these guys who were bona fide stars in college continue to have trouble transitioning to the NFL. It's a whole different ball game.
