Another "useless" stat brought you by the folks in Bristol.

I dont want to hear about how they are a QB away from "competitive" until they are actually competitive.
    Define 'competitive'.

In today's NFL a capable QB can turn around a franchise quickly. Even a team like Kansas City who struggled terribly last season.

I agree, but what has KC done to say that a QB can just turn things around for them. Even so, where is this messiah coming from?

And its not my job to define competitive, its subjective. And KC hasnt been competitive since 2010, and thats not even saying much with how their season ended that year; havent been since 2006 before that.

KC can stockpile all the stud top 10 draft players they like. They need to win games before I buy anything they do.

But it's not like they have holes all over the team that's going to take years to fill though.

They've got WRs, they've got RBs, they've got TEs so it's not like they need some high propsect at QB to turn them around.

They need to win games before I buy anything they do.
That's fine and I agree with you there my man.

But to say "they haven't done anything in years" isn't really accurate when they were just division champs 2 years ago. If we were to measure teams based on how their season ended, there would be a lot of teams that haven't "done anything in years", lol.

Winning the AFC West division that year then getting utterly destroyed at home in their playoff game wasn't very impressive to me.

I'd like for my team to win the division and make the playoffs. Hell, they were there.

2011? Finished one game back and would have won the division had they made one of two FG's that Oakland blocked in week 16 (Yes, I know there's no guarantee everything plays out exactly the same if they make one).

Gotta agree, there is no argument for "haven't done anything" when talking about a team that won 10 games and their division 2 years ago. Whether you think it's impressive or not, it's something... they certainly didn't have a top 5 pick that year.

                      Re: NFL Off Topic 2012

Defensively I think the Chiefs have a lot of pieces in place, in the Secondary Flowers, and Berry play at a pretty high level. Johnson, Houston, Tamba Hali are good Linebackers in that front, and they have some high end D-line picks they are hoping pan out.

Offensively, even if we overlook QB for now is where they struggle and where they really need Andy Reid to work up some of his Offensive genius. Keep in mind both Dwayne Bowe at WR, and Brandon Albert at Tackle are UFA's and could walk. They already don't have much behind Bowe. So other than Charles not much is set in place there to build around a future QB, which they have yet to find.

I mean I could see them trying to acquire a veteran like Alex Smith, or Matt Flynn in the off-season but those would only be stop gap type solutions until they could draft their future Franchise guy. I think with a solid veteran QB they could surprise teams and win 8-9 games with the right bounces of the ball, but I don't really see them competing with Denver right now, and I really like the Coaching moves San Diego has made this off-season.

And yet that's more impressive than what went on in Chicago this year....

In the context of the conversation that's going on here, that's pretty damn impressive, especially considering what they did in the three years prior.

And it is officially the Summer of Gronk 2013:

Rob Gronkowski scared the hell out of New England Patriots fans last night ... when the superstar tight end BODY SLAMMED his friend on stage at a Las Vegas nightclub ... landing hard on his broken forearm ... and TMZ has the footage.

Gronkowski's act is starting to grow old. Time to grow up a little. You can go out and have fun without acting like that in public. Can't do that when you're in his position.
