Yep, it's nothing new but i've noticed this a lot more this year. I think part of the reason it happens is that when an officials crew is letting the guys play a bit and then the receivers start to get animated and such they lose their nerve and we start seeing flags everywhere. It's not nearly as bad as the NBA in terms of players dictating the way the game is called but it can be an annoying thing.

Depends, if it's a primetime game it's probably closer to 2:40ish without halftime and commercials and about 2:15-20ish during the 1 and 4 PM games.

A 1 hour show can be watched in about 45'ish minutes without the commercials. Not sure how well that translates to sports since there are timeout breaks, injury breaks, etc.

An average game through NFL GameRewind takes about 35 minutes to watch. That service blows DVR out of the water, though I can understand why some wouldn't want to pay for it.

          35 minutes?!

          How much is excised exactly?

I'm guessing it just shows each play and abit afterwards(on big plays/scoring plays) or something?

Cause I have nfl network on demand from my cable company and I can watch recaps of a game in 15-20 minutes(it shows basically every play). Only problem is that the commentary is from the XM Satellite people.

It will show the full play, penalties called and then cut to them coming to the LoS.

Nothing about the actual game is excised.

If only NFL Network showed "game in an hour" like NBA and NHL has(at least on team specific networks they have it).

wow pretty cool for those on the go. Personally it's a bit of a pricey option for something that can be watched on the fly like that but I can see how some people would enjoy that.

                  Thanks for the info

Yup. I see it as an added bonus - I got it to watch the all 22 film but every now and again I'll feel like watching a full game with commentary.

Its actually about 2 and a half. Judging by my game rewind feeds.

I had Game Rewind last year and without commercials or any type of cut breaks, it took me at least an hour and some change to get thru a game. If it went 2 hours then it's mainly because I was hitting the rewind button a few times on certain plays to see how they developed, who screwed up and what not.

You guys must be taking about the broadcast option that plays the full game and in between plays, just without commercials and not the condensed version right? Or am I just crazy?

35 minutes is, like, too fast.

I know you get to see every play and all that, but I want my football to be more time consuming than that. I want it to be an event, not slightly longer than an episode of The Simpsons.

I was surprised to learn during tonight's Pack/Vikes game that GB has 50 of 53 players who are "home grown". (Never played anywhere else).

Only team in the league with that stat. Wow, Thompson knows his stuff!

Thats what the regular broadcasts are for. The 35 minute cram sessions are great when you just want to see what the rest of the league looks like without losing 3 hours of your day.
