Unless they give coaches more challenges I don't see a noticeable increase in game times with the proposed rule changes.

Somebody's got something nice lined up post-retirement. I'm pretty sure he easily could have hung around the league as a 3rd-stringer or backup for a few years.

EDIT: On the topic of reviewing PI calls, they absolutely should be reviewable. No other penalty in the entire game can change the game as much as a PI call, except maybe a personal foul severe enough to warrant an ejection, but even then that's only a 15 yard penalty. Pass interference calls create entire drives for teams, they essentially create touchdowns, and there's far too many PI calls that are just really bad calls.

Personally I disagree... but only because it only makes sense to me if coaches can throw the red flag on plays they thought were pass interference and it wasn't called, not just reviewing the ones that are called.

And I don't like the idea of coaches throwing the red flag to prove a yellow should've been thrown... big can of worms.

Isn't that the same difference? Either or challenges the ref's competence which is honestly fine by me. So long as coaches only have two flags standard, I dont see the issue.

Edit: On second thought I think challenging plays lobbying FOR pass interference where it wasn't called is the slippery slope.

I agree. I don't think you should be able to challenge for pass interference, only against it.

You should be able to say "Hey ref, that was a PI. Get your ****ing heads out of your asses" if you want.

You're the one using the flag.

Sports fans get caught up in bad calls but sometimes, no-calls are just as consequential.

Bucs' Mike Williams stabbed in leg. Lead suspect is his brother.

Mark Cuban, the outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner, predicts a drastic decline in the popularity of the NFL over the next decade due to the league's greed.

I agree with his general premise. Though, I think many will dismiss it because of who said it.

NASCAR was the same way about 5-10 years ago.
