What player with a custom facemask has been leading with their helmet? I mean Brandon Merriweather's helmet is as normal as can be and it hasn't stopped him from being stupid.

They just don't want individuality on their teams is all.

Per PFT.com, former Eagles, Cardinals and Bills QB Kevin Kolb was arrested in Texas on Saturday on BWI charges. That's Boating While Intoxicated for those that didn't know.

At least he didn't try fighting the arresting officer like Cedric Benson did when he got picked up on that.

You can thank the university of new Hampshire that did a study leading to the helmets being banned.

Reports coming out that Kiko Alonso suffered a serious knee injury. Tough break for the Bills.

The Bills released a statement Tuesday night that Alonso injured his knee while working out in Oregon.

"We do not have the details at this point, but early indications are that it may be significant," Bills general manager Doug Whaley said.

The very existence of this statement is a terrible sign for Alonso. Teams don't release vague statements late on a Tuesday night in July unless there is expectation of a serious issue. Alonso already underwent surgery to his hip this offseason, and his return to the field was already unclear.

Sometimes I question my allegiance to this team when crap like this happens to our best players. "sigh"

Im watching the Texas/Oklahoma game from 2008, and Colt McCoy looks exactly like Manziel. Im rooting for Manziel, so I hope he doesn't turn out lile McCoy.

Per Ian Rapaport on Twitter, the Saints have won their arbitration case against Jimmy Graham, and Graham will now be considered a tight end for franchise tag purposes.

Frankly, I can't understand how? The CBA language struck me as pretty solidly in Graham's favor. I'm not a lawyer, however. lol

I haven't followed it closely but I can't really understand how he wouldn't be considered a TE. That's what he's always been listed as (including by himself... until talks of the salary difference). Gonzalez, Gates, Witten are all TEs that rarely block on passing downs. It seemed like he and his agent were arguing as if the Saints were comparing him to an offensive tackle when he should be compared to a WR. That case may have weight, but he does what TEs do.

I thought I read something that he played 70% of snaps in the slot or out wide. That would be a pretty strong case for WR.
