SCOOP: ESPN is preparing an offer that would make Tony Romo the highest-paid sportscaster in TV history, with a multi-year deal that would pay him between $10 million to $14 million annually, according to sources.

Also reported CBS has the ability to match any offer.

The packages aren't even in the same ballpark, if CBS matches I would think he stays. ESPN with their crappy games and crappy playoffs game.

They need to get rid of Tessitore.

But yeah, I hope CBS matches as I enjoy him and Nantz working together.

Not only are the games different, but he would probably be require to do more ESPN shows and he doesn't have to do much for CBS.

Doesn’t his contract CBS require him to call golf matches as well? (which he no doubt enjoys)

I can’t remember the last time I heard him call a golf tournament.

Rex Ryan's arrogance on ESPN is comical. He is sub .500 as a head coach and failed to win more than eight games in his last 6 seasons.

ESPN is entertainment. Rex Ryan makes for entertaining television.

Speaking of "entertainment", AB doing AB things. Domestic issue with his baby momma, cops and a bag of dicks involved - and had the foresight to stream it live for everyone.

Another bizarre police incident at Antonio Brown's Florida home -- this time, cops responded after a dispute with his baby mama ... and it turned VERY nasty.

Not the most pressing issue......but I would like to see the "Pass Beyond the Line of Scrimmage" rule to be changed. Seems like the ball should be out of the hand before the ball itself crosses the line. Not the furthest point back on the passers body.

It's always seemed like a really weird rule to me.

Every other part of spotting a football depends on where the ball is at. This is the only one that doesn't fall in that category for whatever reason.

I am guessing that when they defined the rules bar in the day, the QB's (in general) weren't as athletic as they are today. So it probably didn't matter as much. But these days the QB's are so athletic & flexible....and still accurate, that they can really exploit it.
