Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
My Verizon package has Redzone and I am in my team's city, so I just picked up GameRewind and am good with it. I will probably flip between Redzone, Bucs games, and national games on sundays and watch the games I want to see in full or again, during the week on Rewind.
I just wish I could watch it on my tvComment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
If you get a streaming box (refurbed ones work fine like WD Live TV or Roku) and the PlayOn app, they have an NFL plugin that utilizes your account information and then ports the pic to your TV. Most hook up to non-HDTV's as well.
Are local blackouts a thing of the past now?
And on the PS site itself, it's like a treasure hunt to find out anything specific about the NFL ticket. Ugh.
Addendum: after looking a bit, found this site / comments: http://cordcutterguide.com/nfl-sunda...3-not-so-much/
In sum, there is no definitive word as of yet for PS3 stand alone and there is some anticipation that it WILL be available to non-DirecTV subscribers. But if DTV lost money on doing it this way last year, they it's doubtful they'll do it. However, the other logic is that people who will never get DTV, there should be somewhat of a market for it. However, if they really want to expand it, get contracts with both SONY and M$.Last edited by daflyboys; 08-07-2012, 01:29 PM.Comment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
I have to have it. I have season tickets for the Jags, but since I don't live there anymore, I need it for away games. I do like the online and app streaming too. You can watch more than 1 game without more TVs.Comment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
That's stupid they took Redzone Channel off. I didn't watch it that much, but it was still nice to have. So I need to pay $100 more for it? I'll probably pass then.
Will Sunday Ticket subscribers still get Short Cut games?
EDIT: The extra $100 gives you -
* Redzone Channel
* Short Cuts
* Every game on your PC, Tablet or Phone
Not having that may make me pay the extra $100.Last edited by Brandwin; 08-07-2012, 04:04 PM.Comment

Idk, but since I noticed you were asking questions in the rewind thread, it is included with that.Comment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
As a misplaced Dolphins fan, I love it. And, after getting my own Direct TV account, it comes free with a two year contract, meaning that I can watch my Dolphins and my roommate can watch his Titans from our comfortable NC apartment.Comment

Living in Iowa and I'm a Chargers fan it's worth it because I'm not stuck with the teams I don't want to watch.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls
NCAA: Iowa HawkeyesComment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
Even though I live in my team's area, I have had NFL Sunday Ticket for the last two seasons (One of which was the freebie after switching to DTV), and I absolutely LOVE it.
I love being able to watch whatever game I want.
I love being able to watch teams I wouldn't normally be able to watch.
It's awesome.
I second all of this. Sunday Ticket rocks.Comment

Re: Do you have NFL Sunday Ticket and if so how is it?
I'll throw something against the grain out there: I can see that if you are a big fan of one team and you need to see them every week it could be worth it, but imo it's not worth what they charge (I actually cancelled the service this week).
The way I figure it is you get a double header on Fox/CBS most weeks (4 games total), the NBC Sunday game, ESPN Monday Night, and then for a good portion of the year the NFLN Thursday night game. So that's 7 games total that I get to see anyway out of 14-16 (depending on bye's). Just isn't worth it to me, but then I don't have a team I feel like I HAVE to follow."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Red Zone is a must. I watch that and only that when the Texans game is in commercial or for the the timeslot that there isn't a Texans game.Comment

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket Question for PS3
A) There's an app available through the PS store that you can download, then sign up. It's currently not available or being marketed because Direct TV probably wants to sign up as many new subscribers before they go the PS3 route (imo). Even the PS3 website has the NFL Sunday Ticket icon, but the website isn't active, it'll just re-route you to the PS3 website.
B) The service was ok, sometimes it would freeze and then catch up. Sometimes it would freeze, where you would have to select another game, then go back to your game. You can pause and rewind, and it had the red-zone channel.
- Not sure if it broadcasts in 1080p, might want to check that out if it's important to you.
- It DIDN'T have the channel with 8 games on at once.
- It DIDN'T have the feature where you could enter your Fantasy Football Players and it'll give you a pop-up on the bottom with their latest stat (e.g. Aaron Rodgers scored TD, etc.) as is available on DirectTV. I was kinda disappointed in these two features not being available.
- Blackouts - still applicable to PS3, if a game isn't sold out, it's not broadcasted.
- Your internet connection (zip-code) dictates which games you'll see. You won't see local games, because they're assuming you can watch those on reg. cable. If you don't have cable/tv, you're outta luck to watch your home team, unless they're away.
C) 2011 Price - the price was tiered. Full Season (4 months) $339.95= $84.99/mo. billed per month. If you selected 1, 2, or 3, months than the price was higher per month. Pretty sure once you signed up for the full season you couldn't cancel.
If they bring it down to $199.99 for 2012, I'll sign-up, not worth it at a higher price point.
That's all I can recall for now. Hope this helps.Comment

I agree, and it is likely the only thing keeping me on Verizon's "premium" package and keeping me from getting the Sunday TicketLast edited by Sublime12089; 08-07-2012, 08:15 PM.Comment

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket Question for PS3
I have DirecTV because of the Sunday Ticket package. I've had it every year since they started it. I can't imagine not being able to watch my team.
I thought about abandoning DirecTV and going with the PS3 version, but I worry about the consistency of the feed and the features that come with it. It's nice that they dropped the price this year. It's totally worth $199.
Love the game mix channel....watching eight games at once is awesome.Comment
