I only said if he made the playoffs would he be a wildcard, but i'm not seeing the difference between an 0-4 start or just losing 4 games going 12-4 you still lost 4 games. Does an 0-4 start mean anything? Probably not in relation to an MVP argument other then the media would eat that story up.

If Brees were to win it would be bc of what was done over the course of the entire season, no bc the team crapped the bed out of the gate before getting things right. Maybe if he were suspended the first 4 games but he was a part of the team that was crapping the bed... this season.
Totally misconstrued what I said, I was implying it would play a positive factor in voting for him not be the only factor. My response was also in response to another post not just an idea I threw out there. Relax everything's okay....

Oh and I'm still waiting for a rebuttal in regards to Manning's "amazing" stats this season. If we're comparing amazing stats as well as a good comeback story A.P. has Manning easily beat.

There is no difference, that's my point.

I'm definitely relax... from what I can tell you are too. Point still stands, it doesn't play a factor at all, positive or otherwise. If he wins they'll talk about it but it wouldn't and shouldn't play a role in whether or not he would win.

No idea who you're waiting on the rebuttal from though... I was just commenting on the 0-4 start playing a role in anything.

While this is extremely hypothetical, if it were to happen I'm just saying I think it would have some bearing on voters thought process for MVP. It probably wouldn't be enough to beat out Peyton's story or Rodgers season but would definitely get some notoriety going into the playoffs.

The request for an expansion on the "amazing" stats was in reference to the op I was originally responding to. I'm assuming he hadn't actually looked at Manning's stats in comparison others before making that comment.

          And Happy Thanksgiving gentlemen!

Getting 3rd place votes are a big deal, my man.

Still either AP or Manning at this point for me.

Whoever wins this, the other will probably win Comeback Player of the Year.

Why are some so quick to call Peyton MVP? Brady has thrown 5 less INT's while only trailing Petyon by 2 TD's.

Brady doesn't have a great come back story though.... You sure only 2TD's? According to Incredible, thats impossible given Mannings "amazing" stats this year.

Not sure if AP would win it. It's a great story, but I don't see them making the playoffs.

I said his story combined with his amazing stats. I didn't compare him to Tom Brady's stats. I was comparing him to Drew Bree's lack luster stats an his pathetic teams record. If I was directly comparing him to Tom Brady then the only thing he has up on Brady is his comeback story since they have similar amazing stats an great team records.

You were generalizing, and wrong, glad you decided to finally speak on it though.
