    Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga

Can't say I saw this ending coming.

To hang yourself in order to exploit some loophole in the legal system and secure funds for your family so they can live a bit more comfortably (apparently) seems like a pretty rough trade to be honest. One of the more intense lose-lose situations you can think of. It came down to a life sentence in max security prison with no hope of parole or no more life at all.

If this guy was this smart and forward-thinking thinking about his estates and legalities and whatnot, I'm not sure he'd be a multiple murderer and spending life in prison anyway.

In this case I look for the simplest explanation. I think he's just a piece of **** who killed himself because he had nothing to live for. I don't think the calculations came into play.

      Maybe I'm wrong.

I struggle with calling people who commit suicide cowards. There's so much I can't comprehend going on with their lives that I find it hard to just blindly label them cowards.

No, he killed himself because he's a coward. The fact that his family benefits is a by product of his cowardice.

          I agree with this.

I've been thinking of the best way to post this exact same kind of thing all day in response, telling myself: "If everyone here believes this guy was smart and considerate enough to consider martyring himself for the betterment of his family, he likely wouldn't be the person he was that day that was to rot in prison in the first place."

It came off too strong before, but now that someone else has said it... well it makes me feel a bit better heh. The fact is this becomes a silver lining for the family, whether they want to accept that truth or not.

Who knows, but maybe he had conversations with his lawyer and he asked what is the best way to protect my family and my assets moving forward.

I'm not saying the lawyer suggested this as a means to an end.

You never know. This lawyer worked pro-boner, erm, pro-bono, for Casey Anthony.

He worked for sexual favors. Not exactly the cleanest guy practicing the law.

He apparently had John 3:16 written on his forehead in red marker and there were red marks on his hands and feet-all this could have possibly been triggered by synthetic marijuana.

I just can't wait for the draft to get here because, I'm as deep into speculating about this as everyone else (and love reading all the posts) but this POS doesn't deserve all of this attention in life or death. I hope the suicide is a cover up and he actually was taken out because I hate the idea that he gets to choose the way he goes like that. And unfortunately, he's probably just one of many murderers who ended up hanging by their bed sheets but is being talked about on various news stations just because he used to be an NFL player.

With all that said, maybe more info will come out to keep the speculation going because we've still got 7 days left before there's any real NFL talk.

That's my thinking. I mean if there was actually any evidence this wasn't suicide than I get the coverage. Otherwise I don't get why anyone outside of his family, and anyone else who was directly involved in his life or the victims lives care about this. We've already done all the stories about his life, speculated about what made him turn into a killer, etc. At this point to me it just doesn't matter whether the ******* is dead, or spends the rest of his life in a cell.

I sincerely hope that it comes out that he did NOT have CTE. I feel like that would take away from how terrible of a person he was, and the media might even paint him as a victim.

And they wouldn't be completely wrong. But it would be very odd to go from everyone thinking he's this terrible person and a monster (which he is), to thinking he's a victim of CTE which made him act that way (which would also be relatively true).
