Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

Just read an article for Stltoday by Bernie Miklasz and he's is clamoring for the Rams to take Johnny Manziel at no. 2.

    My thoughts:

    - I like Bradford. He's safe, accurate but he rarely takes chances and has been hurt 2/4 seasons in the NFL plus his last season in college. The Rams need a fallback.

    - I like Manziel. I like his mobility and I think it would work wonders against the Defensive lines in the NFCW. He can make all of the throws an NFL needs to make and I love his fire. He reminds me of Brett Farve. This offense needs a leader, Sam is so reserved and I do not think that is his role.

I like the idea of drafting Manziel only if the Rams trade back and Johnny is still sitting there.

Absolutely. This is the best WR class we've seen in maybe a decade as far as the prospects go.

I wonder what STL does in free agency. They have some glaring needs. My opinion, they should grab a quality backup in the middle rounds. Bradford deserves one more shot.

I think he'll get the shot even if the Rams draft Manziel.

I hope the Rams can land a veteran WR via Free Agency to mature this young corps.

This class is loaded in almost all positions, with the exception of maybe tailback, still there are a few guys at TB who could be difference makers in a few years.
Mason and Carey have been labelled "scheme backs" meaning they're skill sets may not transfer to the nfl very well. I have to say I kind of agree with this, but they could both make solid backs for teams a few years. I think bishop Sankey is the best back available in this year's class.

Just wanted to mark this as the day the acquisition of Kendrick Perkins sparked a debate about stacking your team.

Carlos Hyde is going to be great NFL player as well, of course this is assuming he can stop hitting women.

That hasn't stopped other guys from becoming great NFL players

Good stuff man. Agree with a lot of the picks. Although I don't see Manziel slipping to Minnesota unless they trade up. Interested in what you see the Rams doing. They have tons of options.

Would love to see a Seahawk mock if you have the time.

Interesting article.....Makes me wonder what happends at QB????

The Houston Texans are not being coy about their draft intentions. The owners of the first pick in the draft already have made their intentions clear about that pick being for sale to the highest bidder. And now they might … Continue reading →
