I agree, Cleveland's done much better in the playoffs recently.

Why won't you even give the kid a chance? Teddy Bridgewater could be the player that turns the Browns around, but you're already writing him off.

Who cares how many tough teams he played in college? At one time, Colt McCoy was the winningest quarterback in NCAA history, while beating the Oklahomas and Oklahoma States and Missouris. How'd he work out?

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

Is NFL draft as exciting to watch as the NHL draft(if anyone here has actually watched NHL draft before)? Or even NBA draft(except I know NBA draft no longer has official trades on draft day which really sucks and takes away fun/excitement by alot)

NHL is easily most exciting draft to watch for me(people boo the commish like crazy every time he steps up to podium, and trades get announced during it), NBA 2nd and MLB last. I've never really watched NFL draft before, and will prob only watch small bits of this one, but still..

They've won the same amount of playoff games, Cincy is a better team without Dalton. Why give him a chance? theres nothing about his physical abillities that say NFL QB, No thanks on the guarenteed bust.

and EVERYBODY cares about who he played in college, thats how players even get draft stocks to begin with

for some reason you have a hard time telling the diffrence between wins, a team 22-53 man accomplishmet, and a players NFL Value, that single players NFL Value.

dont think the NHL shows the draft in the US, and the MLB doesn't show on TV, just teams call in from their war rooms.

It usually lasts about 2 hours. It depends on how late they actually start the draft.

So physical tools are what matters? Know who had all the physical tools? JaMarcus Russell. He was guaranteed to be the best thing to ever happen to quarterbacks. He could throw the ball 65 yards from his knees, 55 sitting down.

1st round of the MLB Draft is shown on MLB Network for the last couple of years.

yes since the begining of time, and will be until football no longer exist, Physical tool are always the most important issue. you know who else had all the physical tools? Andrew Luck, and oh look he's the best young QB in football.

some pan out, some dont. Bridgewater is almost guarenteed not too.

NHL does? USA network doesn't host it cause they don't care about it, but I remember each year I watch it, they mention it's also being shown in USA(I believe on NBCSN).

Too bad more sports don't make their draft like NHL. Always cool in NHL to see the GM,coach and few other people of the organization all walking up to the stage and one of them announces who their team picks, the player walks up to the stage, gets the jersey, puts it on and then poses for pics with the gm,coach and stuff. Always a cool sight to see.

I still just don't see how you can possibly say that. Because of a couple bad throws? Obviously something is there, or else the majority of writers/announcers/coaches/etc wouldn't think so highly of him. They didn't just throw a dart at a board and say "This guy! Let's hype him into a first-round contract!"

Well then you haven't watched Bridgewater and just listen to what the media tells you. its based on his whole college career, he's never shown better then average arm strength, cant grip a football, bad foot work, long wind-up and bad pocket feel, which is why he's sacked so often. Look your going to slobber on his knob reguardless, but your also going to be wrong in the end. I've said my opinion more then i need to and i know for a fact its the 100% correct one and im done on this subject.
