Their pass rush controlled game in a way I don't remember seeing.

No, NFL players don't go in with specific teams, though we certainly think of them that way.

I was entertained too. Great defense on both sides. That's the problem though, if it's not a high scoring shootout, it's not a good game anymore.

I find it refreshing when I watch these throwback type defensive battles.

Yeah they just go in as a bust. The Baseball Hall is the only one where a player "goes in as a _______".

Or those saying the game was bad is because their team lost. I was entertained the entire game as well.

That Denver defense is really something. I have never seen a defense dominate like that. Just unbelievable.

Couldn't agree more, especially the part about people saying they enjoy good defense.

It's one thing to say it, but then when you have to sit thru a defensive game, then people are like "Man, this is boring".

Football Fans don't know what they want when it comes to this sport.

But there is always a chance for injury playing football. To continue your taser analogy, maybe you shouldn't enroll in the police academy or sign up for the taser class since that carries with it a likelihood of being tased.

What I think happened is that all season coaches tell their QBs not to risk injury doing things like that. Cam remembered those instructions and it overpowered his desire to win the superbowl. Maybe you view that as a bad thing or maybe you are more forgiving. But I don't want to hear talk of Cam's passion for the game or desire to win after that.
I still don't get how you arrive at this point. How does that kill his passion or desire to win? If he goes in there and takes a concussion because two Broncos ground him into the ground while he's diving head first for a loose ball and he's forced out of the game, how does that help his team win the Super Bowl with him not on the field? They couldn't do **** with that defense the whole game and he got his *** kicked the whole way. He's supposed to leave any hope of winning in the hands of Derek Anderson?

Better a 1% chance than a 0% chance if Denver recovered.

I don't necessarily think the game was boring. It was badly played at times by both offenses. The defenses played their asses off though so credit has to be given to them.

I've seen some GREAT defensive games that one playoff game between the Bucs and Rams with the Bert Emanuel rule non catch is one that pops to mind immediately.

You're totally right. He's only won Super Bowls as a coach (1 with 49ers and now 3 with Broncos). Now I have no idea what Nantz was trying to say. Huh.
