    Week 1 Discussion Thread

If this is the Last Ride for us then let’s make it a good one.

First game is Thursday night between the Bucs and Cowboys before the rest of the fun gets underway on Sunday.

Season hasn't started and I'm already quite annoyed with the 17 game schedule.

Why? Of all the complaints we here for the NFL I haven't heard anyone upset over an extra game? Just curious.

Le’Veon Bell to the Ravens per Mike Garafalo.

Signed to their Practice Squad but could move up to the active roster fairly quick due to the injuries they’ve already suffered at the position.

I’m oddly excited for Lev. I love the Gus Bus but Bell’s unique style and influence on RB’s since he came on to the scene is not talked about enough. So many backs are glorified receivers, and Bell was one of the best at that, but he made his mark with that hesitation bounce that so many guys employ as part of their game now. I love watching him and play and I hate how he became a shell of himself in NY and KC. He didn’t do any favors talking **** about Reid and his coaching style, I was disappointed to hear that, but hey, he’s playing under one of Reid’s direct disciples in John Harbaugh now so I guess it didn’t matter too much!

As for Week 1, Bills vs the world begins against PIT. I’m super low on the Steelers, but probably foolishly. They don’t ever really “bottom out” as I’m predicting, so it’s a good opening week test for both teams to see where they stand. There was a time when PIT handed us our lunch, but we’ve exorcised those demons mostly with some big wins over them over the last few years of success we’ve seen.

It would be just lovely if we came out and absolutely smashed them. The Bills pass like crazy, so we’ll see if their strong front 7 can disrupt and/or contain Allen and it Fitzpatrick and the d-back’s can capitalize on likely pressure. It’s actually a really tough matchup in this regard for Buffalo, so maybe getting Singletary and Moss going to rough those linemen up early will open things up. But I think we’re just gonna go strength on strength and see what happens. Kinda makes me nervous, but that’s what 20 years of losing does to you even if you’ve got a Super Bowl roster, staff, and franchise QB.

Meh, human stuff, not liking changes. Also, was listening to a podcast yesterday and they were talking about how "10-7 wasn't that hard to achieve for X team" and it felt weird.

Plus I'm waiting for records to be broken and people not noting that they had 1 more game to do it (if that were case that they needed the extra game).

                I'm just grumpy.

Starting a season with Sam Darnold as QB1 is unfortunate, but the backup might be even worse so there’s that.

Not a season I’m looking forward to. Least we have CMC.

I think Darnold is going to be an improvement over Teddy. That's a pretty low bar, but still. I would've rather had Fields, but such is life

The defense should be fun at least

The season is upon us men! Looking forward to the discourse and the first Bills Super Bowl championship. Trying not to be insufferable this year but no promises!

Dak looks horrible so far. Missed to CeeDee, then ceedee dropped one and then Dak made a horrible overthrow on the sideline route. That’s a first down if others QBs throw that pass. I want to truly know what made anyone justify paying this guy $40M
