Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread
I agree but it’s not even about reps. Dalton was a mistake the day he signed. We were given basically a gift from above by the Giants and every analytical data when no college guys took a snap of football. Why he fell no one knows. Why he doesn’t play? Also no one knows. But I’ll tell you this. If you treat his first year in the league “watching” with his helmet on waiting on every second he will learn a hell of a lot less than if you had him as a real backup and mentored him. Only the Bears can do this. It’s maddening.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread
OK fine. "Who had the worst 7 day period so I can also include Baltimore who lost like 4 players for the year."
*shrug*
Anyway, I think the Packers had the worst week. Team was a mess, post a game against someone they may be fighting for a tiebreaker toward the end of the year, their division mates all lost and they could have gotten a quick leg up, etc.
Ravens probably second contender. Those injuries are rough..
Don't think the Browns fall in there. Was a good tight game and they ended up losing.
Buffalo was underwhelming but eh. It happens.
And I think Arizona is way better than most people probably think so I'm not as blown away by Tennessee's troubles against them. Also **** Tennessee.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 09-13-2021, 04:24 AM.Comment

Week 1 Discussion Thread
Jameis Winston being efficient, ultra effective and mistake free against a team many pegged as a SB favorite was the story of yesterday to me.
I knew he could be good, but I had seen enough to believe he was never going to reach that potential regularly. I never thought he’d come out and smoke ‘em like he did even if he did play well. He erased every doubt about his play. This wasn’t even in the Superdome.
Now do it again!
GB has to be the most disappointing of the week. Saints might be great but 38-3 after the offseason drama with your QB, blown out so badly they put in Love.
Re: Justin Fields. He’s an inevitability. But keeping him away from Aaron Donald wasn’t the worst decision in the world, even if it was lame. There’s an extra game this season but I don’t know how long they’ll be able to handicap themselves. I like Dalton but he’s just a decent backup at this point. They’ve got Cincy next week, might be time to ring the bell for him.
Ja’Marr Chase murdering the ghosts of preseason drops past with 100 yards and a bomb TD from Burrow was nice. I was alarmed at his college football comments, but not anymore. Cincy gonna be a fun offense as Burrow gets unleashed more and more. We all just forgot about Joe Mixon, who is continuing to ascend as a great RB.

Week 1 Discussion Thread
Not sure how us losing has anything to do with our division, especially considering the division we play in but I’m also nitpicking.
Anyway, a day later and my panic/concern level is no higher than a 2 right now. And even if we lose to Detroit, it’ll be no more than a 4 and the silliest thing for me or anyone else to do with this team would be to start reaching for the fire alarm after 2 weeks.
And also, I’m not sure why anyone would be alarmed by Chase’s comments last week when taken in context(this is still a thing, right?) People let Florio rile them up with that story after basically putting words in Chase’s mouth with that clickbait *** headline.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread
Hmm, I didn’t read the Chase comments, just was passed along to me. But the drops were concerning in the preseason. But that’s what the preseason is for.
I wouldn’t panic about or anoint any player or team after Week 1. Jags beat the Colts Week 1 last year, then they went completely opposite directions. But it’s always better to feel good than feel bad after a game. Ha
I liked him coming out last year and totally forgot about him going in to this year because he was mostly quiet and lost behind their other receivers. I was glad to see him put up a good game. Stafford on a top team was fun to watch.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
