Mahomes is much, much younger than Kurt Warner but I agree that he needs to dial back the aggressiveness and settle for the "gimme" stuff underneath more. And he made some adjustments as the game wore on, yet his usually sure handed receivers dropped some catchable passes.

I'm surprised it's that low tbh. I figured there'd be a lot more neck injuries than there seem to be.

He had a nice run in the Playoffs. I guess that is all that really matters.

Just not a big fan of his. Never have been.

Kickers are more accurate than ever before, and this guy is at the bottom of the list among active kickers that qualify. The 10 kickers above him, rated 15-24, have played for 27 teams combined.

He's just a guy. Thats not how he seems to be viewed, by Packers fans, or otherwise.

And sure, he kicked in some nasty elements, but no worse than Gould, or Gostkowski, who were considerably better.

..but without the offensive production of The Greatest Show on Turf. For Chiefs fans this is feeling like the Vermeil era all over again. Trent Green, Priest Holmes and a porous defense. Even after experiencing a couple of Super Bowls, it's hard not to get pessimistic and wonder if we've seen the peak of the Mahomes era.

The 2000 Rams averaged 7 yards per play. The 2021 Chiefs are allowing 7.1. (stolen from a tweet)

Oh I said that because I heard the exact same thing about us and Rodgers, lol. And next thing you know, that evolved into us wasting Rodgers’ prime years.

                Re: Week 5 Discussion Thread

It’s just insanely hard to be top of the top for years and years like the Patriots were. They skewed everyone’s definition of what greatness truly is.

I think sportsforever is right and the NFL catches up to trends in a couple years. So you get a 2-3 year run and then you’re figured out, and if you don’t win in totally different ways like NE did (or with a defensive team... those typically aren’t trendy), it’s hard to stay on top. Also factor in coaching staff being poached, guys leaving in free agency for big paydays, having to pay top dollar to your QB and other playmakers, playing a 1st place schedule, and on and on. The NFL really is set up for parity, maybe not total top to bottom reshuffling but making it very difficult to stay at the top.

                NFL - Buffalo Bills

76 yard run for a TD. Hope my guys can play better on defense to prevent those big gains. Still early, so maybe they turn it around on this drive.

Our defense just looks out of sorts.

Ravens knocking at the door. I hope we can at least tie it up before the half.

If I'm the Colts I would be very uncomfortable. Most of the 1st half was dominated by the Colts but that is not what the score shows. It would make me really nervous for when things start clicking for the other team.

Colts are having good success when they pick on Averett.

Jimmy Smith has been screaming at him presnap. You can tell he wishes he could line up at his old spot lol

Only problem is they receive the ball in half #2. This is not looking great, I figured it would be at least tied by now. Jackson had a wide open receiver walk into the end zone on that last drive.
