    Re: 2022 Offseason Thread

Feel like it's hard to get a package from Miami for him that will feel good at all about losing Hill (I feel ill even typing this), with their 1st and 2nd picks being #29 and #50.

Have to think that's where he'd prefer though w/ the tax situation and him having a home there.

    This offseason is insanity.

Loosely related, Marquez Valdes-Scantling is visiting the Chiefs today.

    Edit: and there it is.

    @AdamSchefter
Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

Yeah, except for us Giants fans. It's going to be another sh***y year for NY football....I don't see the Giants winning more than 5 or 6 games this season. Amazes me so many fans still believe in Daniel Jones. I've seen enough.

At least the rest of the league will be fun to watch, particularly the AFC.

Miami is trying to recreate Tua's WR corps at Bama. Waddle and Hill will be deadly on those RPO slants that he killed defenses with at Bama

Does this all but cement Sauce at 4 for Jets? Already needing CB help and now having to face Hill & Waddle twice a year is a recipe for taking Sauce high now imo

I definitely see Parker being on the trade block now. With Waddle, Hill, Wilson, and Sherfield there, Parker is expendable and it'll save them

                        Herschel Walker to the Vikings.....wait

It's almost as if that trade has been forgotten.

Denver, Cleveland, Miami...might turn out to be kingmakers for Seattle, Houston, and KC.

This is likely the new normal.
Prior to the Cards swap of Rosen for Murray...you didn't see a lot of quick triggers on high drafted QBs, or many "elite" or at least "established" QB trades.

Not saying it didn't happen...but this off-season has surely had more than any other.

                          Wilson, Wentz, Ryan, Watson....Mayfield? Garoppolo?

Bengals make the Super Bowl and the whole league goes crazy as a result is my sum of the last 3 months, lol.

Going to disagree with this on the basis that Ryan should have been traded a year ago, but the cap situation was even worse so it didn't make sense. He shouldn't have been traded due to lack of ability, because he's still a good QB even at his age. This was a move that needed to happen though simply because the team sucks. It was and is devoid of any real talent outside of just a couple of players, and there is no point in having an old and expensive QB on your roster when you're not going to win now anyway. The dead money hit for 2022 is kind of moot because they weren't winning with him and they aren't winning without him. This is a situation of ripping off the bandaid all at once instead of slowly bleeding out.

However, I'm in complete agreement about his botching of the Watson deal is a major screw up. I'm extremely happy that the deal didn't get done (never should have even been considered), but it's a pretty bad look for everything to have been as public as it was and still not get it done while the franchise QB of the last 15 years is still on your roster.

The worst part of this is that you are really wasting 2 more years of Kyle Pitts career with the 2022 tank and likely a 1st year QB in 2023. But that is what happens when you spend #4 pick on a tight end when you have major roster holes everywhere and an aging QB.
