Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Thankfully you're not responsible for making that decision as there's no reason to fire him as of now. Deebo wanting huge money after one breakout season, the very season after missing 9 games, along the lines of Adams or Hill is a bit much. It seems like his issue, which another poster touched on, is how hes being used and not even financially driven which I would think could be easily remedied but apparently not as of now.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Sounds like he's not happy with how he is being used. Wants to be a WR and not the hybrid player they've been using him as.
Green Bay has to do something, right?Comment

LaFleur runs Shanahans offense.. but I just don't see him using Deebo the same way.
.. I cre@m my shorts thinking about Rodgers throwing to Metcalf. That would be more fun than Favre to Sharpe. You want free speech?

If they're going to trade for a wideout, I'll be hoping for DK. Even Scary Terry.

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Is there anything more indicative of the ego and softness of some of these athletes than "I've been turned into a household name and elevated to elite status and my team has consistent success but boohoo I don't like what coach told me to do?"
Yawn.
Imagine a person with real responsibilities and regular wages with this mentality....actually, I know a few...all worthless in most situations.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Looking at them strictly as WRs, would you rather pay Deebo as opposed to Davante? Even considering the fact that Adams is 3 years older?
.. give me DK, if this is the route we're going. You want free speech?

I want DK but not sure I believe that will happen... Guess I would take Lockett off their hands if they dont want him... ARod would turn him into a star.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Or you could look at it from the perspective of a dude who just wants to maximize his value and not be run into the ground in a couple years. People with normal jobs make those decisions every day.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
What makes Deebo great is his versatility.
I totally get it if he wants to just be a WR, since he takes a lot more abuse with the RB portion of his game. But as strictly a WR, he's not as valuable as guys like Adams or Hill.Comment

You dont want Lockett. His contract is the 2nd worst in the league(only behind Michael Thomas).Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

Carroll has been pretty outspoken about wanting to sign Metcalf. I'm not sure they'd trade either of these guys, unfortunately. You want free speech?

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
I get that logic to a degree but the argument will be he had 1,405 receiving yards last season with Garoppolo throwing him the ball unlike Adams and Hill who clearly had better QB's in Rodgers and Mahomes throwing them the ball. SF needs to scramble and get this situation somehow resolved, Shanahan clearly wants him and has said as much, Lynch wants him and this late in the offseason the options for trade are going to be more limited then they would have been had we known this back in say February. What I don't really understand is Deebo only started being utilized in the backfield after we had numerous injuries at RB between Mostert, Mitchell and at the time Wilson was still out but prior to that he had 22 carries in 22 career games so unless the team has informed him he would be expected to continue this hybrid role next season, which would be idiotic, I don't even understand the issue about how hes being used.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
4-year contract - $3mil-$9.7mil-$15.3mil-$15.3mil
2 roster bonuses @ $1.6mil (2024 and 2025)
Yearly option bonuses - $3.25mil
They'd probably cut him after 2023, as will Seattle.
$20.2mil.. for a bonafide deep threat? And a ++ return guy in a pinch? Lots of teams would take that.
But highly unlikely Seattle will move him.Last edited by Madden08PCgmr; 04-20-2022, 02:35 PM.You want free speech?
