Didn’t see that coming. Saints are in a tough spot without him. With too, but the job seemed less daunting when you know you have a coach who’s been there and done that.

Roster is talented but all the kicking of the can is probably going to bite them sooner then later. And now it’s on another coach to try their best with whatever is left of the roster.

Intriguing spot to land for the right candidate.

They have been kicking the can for years now and bad QB situation, so if there's any time, it's now for Payton

Yup…I know the cap is going to go up, but that is not a good situation for a new head coach to walk into.

Saints mismanaged the cap more than any other team by far.
4-5 years ago when they thought they were a SB contender I could understand kicking the can, but I don't know what they've been doing since.

Sounds like the Jags are trying to lock in a deal with Bucs’ OC Byron Leftwich to become their next HC per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Expected. It's gets to a point where players start listening to their bodies. The constant process of rehabbing injuries takes a toll mentally and physically. Great player for us
