    Re: Week 4 Discussion Thread

I don’t care what the expert say The rams don’t have enough talent especially on offense. They don’t have a OL or a running game and only 1 WR. I’ve said this before, but just one season I wish Stafford would have a running game that was even league average

"I saw Bobby Wagner take somebody out," 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. "That was kind of cool to see."

If I'm Wagner, I'm not getting anywhere near that fan.

Forget the lawsuit, I'm treating that fan like a terrorist with a deadly nerve agent. I have no idea what his intent is, but I'm getting as far away from that stuff as possible.

          While throwing a million INTs.

Mahomes does it whole also taking care of the ball somehow. That's the most impressive part to me

I should’ve specified that I meant during his MVP years, before we gave a damn about how many INTs someone threw.

Which during that time, he wasn’t throwing much(13, 13, 16)and that wasn’t considered “a lot”.

I was telling my friend about how much the perception of stats has changed. You can throw 27 TD and 7 INT nowadays and get ran out of town (Wentz). Back in the day it felt like if you just threw more TD then INT, you were good enough.

We have more context surrounding stats now instead of just volume numbers, but having lived through the transition, it’s still weird what was good and what is good now.

The pass game has drastically changed in that time, too.

Meh, we always had context for most stats.

People just always picked and chose when to apply it to a player, depending on who they are.

Back in the day QBs were running around thinnking they were about to get get clocked by defensive players all day every day, without the rules they have now to protect them. Of course they threw more INTs back then. And completion percentages are way way up.

This was QB protection back then..

I wish I had the video, I searched for Steve Pelluer he was a Dallas Qb,
when I was a kid. In the video I was looking for, was a game against
Denver. He slid and was stopped. The DE cleaned his clock
No flag and it ended his season..

Funny searching for it I found that Singletary hit. Similiar, but way worse.

I was curious so I tried looking this up. I see they played at Denver on 10/5/86 and that game is on YouTube but Pelluer started and finished that game so I don't think that's it.

Are you sure it was Denver?
