    10 Team Standard Scoring (Non-PPR)

Andrew Luck is on bye and I need a fill-in QB. The best options are:

1.) Kyle Orton (vs KC) - He's coming off a bye week but this is a very tough matchup. The Chiefs don't give up a lot of points to fantasy QBs and while it's a home game the weather forecast is 15 MPH wind and cold.

2.) Mike Vick (vs PIT) - The Steelers defense isn't very good to begin with and now Troy Polamalu Ryan Shazier have been ruled out. Vick played pretty good last week. Forecast: 60, sunny, no wind

3.) Andy Dalton (vs CLE) - The Red Rifle has one 20 point fantasy game...and that was when he had two rushing touchdowns. He does have AJ Green back. The game is on Thursday Night. Forecast: 40s, cloudy, 10 MPH wind

4.) Eli Manning (@ SEA) - He has put up two back-to-back big fantasy games...both with most the points coming in garbage time. The Giants are going to be heavy underdogs on the road against the Seahawks...and he would probably need garbage time to be successful again.

5.) Derek Carr (vs DEN) - Speaking of garbage time...

6.) Brian Hoyer @ CIN? Josh McCown vs ATL? Zach Mettenburger @ BAL?

Thanks in advance...I'm at a loss.

Generally speaking I agree 100%, but the slight edge I'd normally give ODB is trumped by the Seahawks secondary. They don't scare me enough to not play ODB but if I have a similar option like Evans, I think I'd go with it.

      FLEX Jeffrey

My main concerns are Newton's inconsistency and the WR/Flex dilemma. I think I've got 5 different WRs who are poised to go off at any given time, it's just a matter of plugging them in at the right time.
First, starting any D shouldn't effect playing anyone else on your roster. We have no control over what happens in games, we're just trying to guess who will score the most points. The D is going to score the same amount whether you start them, and so will the players.

With that said, Cam looked really off last week. Flacco's got a nice match up at home. I think this would be a good week to go with Joe.

I might start Beckham over Sanu but could see going either way with that so if you're comfortable with what you have now, stick to it.

I would go with Orton. I like Vick's chances but he also fumbles tripping over his own foot at this point so he's serious boom or bust material. Eli is the same but for different reasons. The SEA D isn't as scary as originally thought but if the Giants get behind and have to air it out, the secondary will be licking it's chops. The only one I'm still mulling over is Dalton. CLE has a great secondary and the game is on a short week but he's got weapons and will probably pass a good amount.

          That's basically my assessment.

I think coming off the bye in Buffalo, the only thing that derails Orton from a solid game would maybe be the weather. But he's played in the cold before in Chicago/Denver. I also like the idea of Fred Jackson catching some passes helping out the offense.

Vick, like you said, is the gamble. If he was 100% certain to finish the game, he might be the play but he could easily get knocked out.

I have a trade offer on the table of Joe Flacco for Michael Floyd.

Floyd is the player I would have to drop anyways to pickup Orton/Vick/Dalton.

So the question is...do you like Flacco this week, home against the Titans, better than my FA options?

I'd scrap Eagles D before I benched Newton. Should be a lot of scoring in that game, eagles D is too turnover dependent imo to be reliable. Flex looks good

Orton, Dalton, Carr, McCown I'd consider... Really dont like any of them that much but Carr against Denver could be a sneaky play if your league doesnt penalize INT's too much. They will be behind all game and they always air it out.

With Brady out this week, I'm in need of a QB. Right now I have Hoyer going against the Bengals. Giving Alex Smith some serious thought though against the Bills. There just isn't a lot of better options in FA right now. The only other QB I can find is Orton. Thoughts?

Should I start Frank Gore this week? I see he's listed as questionable with a hip injury he's nursing. I've already got Taliaferro going at the other RB spot in place of Ahmad Bradshaw. Options on the wire right now are Knile Davis, Darren McFadden, Isaiah Crowell, Tre Mason, Bernard Pierce, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown.

If he plays, go with Gore.

You might want to pick up Mason just in case though.

Yes I love Flacco this week. Bad pass rush, must win game, Flacco at home... definitely like him over all of those options.

I like Orton better, but his matchup isn't great either. It's also dependent on Watkins playing which you won't know for a bit. I'd commit to it not being Hoyer to start and then just pay attention to the news. Watkins plays, go with Orton. If not, Alex Smith.

Should I start Anquan Boldin or Markus Wheaton? I'm thinking Boldin just because he's a number 1 and will probably see more targets. But with the way Ben is playing and against this team Wheaton can have a day?

I would go Boldin. He's a safer bet.

Ben can't throw for 400 yards and 6 tds every week. On a more "normal" day, Wheaton's targets are now split with Bryant. He's not a bad play but Boldin is definitely safer.

You wanna know what a painful decision in Fantasy Football means? Okay. So. Please. Pick one:

                              -Theo Riddick vs MIA
                              -Bryce Brown vs KC
                              -Juwan Thompson vs OAK
                              -Mike Sims vs ATL
                              -Khiry Robinson vs SF

Just writing them down hurts big time. Taking Brown over Denard could be my biggest waiver wire mistake ever.

10 Team - Standard Scoring (Non-PPR) - Andrew Luck is on bye

                                Best options:

1.) Tony Romo (in London vs. Jax) - He has been upgraded to probable. I'm pretty certain he plays. He has a great matchup as the Jaguars defense is below average and has injuries. However, there are concerns. If they blowout the Jags, he could get pulled early. If he takes one big hit to the back, he could be pulled. Also, these London games are kinda like Thursday Night games where they are pretty unpredictable.

2.) Kyle Orton (home vs. Chiefs) - I like that the Bills are home, coming off a bye, and he has really turned that offense around. They have been throwing a lot in the red zone. I don't like that Sammy Watkins might not play, Fred Jackson might not play (I think he helps Orton) and the Chiefs defense is pretty damn good.

3.) Michael Vick (home vs. Steelers) - He played very well last week on the road in Arrowhead, one of the toughest places to play. They are now at home and I also like the offense a little bit with Harvin, Decker, Johnson and some decent TE play to surround a "last chance to prove I can start" Vick. However, he is often turnover prone, has already been dinged up, and he's one big hit away from being taken out.

4.) Zach Mettenberger (road @ Baltimore) - Jimmy Smith is hurt and the Ravens defense isn't the best in football. The Titans are coming off a bye...and in his debut, Mettenberger did throw for 299 and 2 TDs...and a INT and fumble...
