I picked up Shaun hill. I just have a feeling Sanchez is gonna crack under the Seattle defense.

Re: 2014 OS "Who To Start" Thread

        Playoffs. Standard scoring (non-PPR)

        Flex Options:

        1. Roddy White @ GB - Forecast is 27 degrees, 15 MPH wind, 20% chance of snow. He is currently listed as questionable after sitting out last weeks game with a hammy. He said he is "ready to go" the rest of the season and I think the extra day of rest will help. I'm assuming he plays...however, the Falcons aren't great on the road...Matt Ryan isn't great outdoors...but I think they are going to have to throw to keep up with the Packers which bodes well for White.

        2. Andre Ellington vs. KC - Got knocked out last week with a hip injury and has been dinged up, as well as over worked all year. With Carson Palmer out, the offense has stalled bad. He is supposed to be a "game-time decision" and even if he plays, he might be limited. However, he hasn't practiced much this year anyways, and they could be over playing the injury. Obviously, if he is inactive, I luckily have White to slid in for Monday night.

        3. Jerrick McKinnon vs. NYJ - Also questionable and didn't play last week at all. He has a back issue and with the Vikings out of realistic playoff contention, they might ease him back. He plays an early game, so if I elect to start him and he is inactive, I could still go Ellington or White.

        4. Vincent Jackson @ Detroit - At least he is healthy. Hasn't scored a TD since Week 4 and has only topped 100 yards once in the last seven games. The matchup isn't good but they could be throwing a lot. Plus, with all the success Evans has played, maybe Jackson will get some favorable coverages.

        ---

        Options for TE:

        1. Dwayne Allen @ Cleveland - Forecast 38 degrees, sunny, 10 MPH wind. He hasn't played in a month with an ankle injury but is now listed as probable. Fleener has performed really well the last few weeks with him out but Allen was the better option prior to the bye his injury. Will they limit his snaps because of the ankle? Will Luck look more Fleener's way because of their recent success?

        2. Delanie Walker vs. NYG - He's definitely a gamble. Five games with about 10-20 points. Seven games with 0-5 points. Mettenburger is expected to start this week and that helps Walker's potential. The Giants are about league average against the pass but have given up big games to opposing TEs.

        ---

If for whatever reason White, Ellington and McKinnon are ruled inactive, Vincent Jackson is the easy flex choice. Obviously, as the week progresses more news will be revealed. At TE, I like Allen much better than Walker but the fact that he is coming off an injury makes me question it.

I still have issues at running back and if I bow out early, that'll be the reason why. Been trying to apply band-aids to this situation to mostly ****ty results.

Right now I'm looking for my 2 RBs between

          Frank Gore
Jonathan Stewart (just scooped on waivers)
          Latavious Murray
          LeGarrette Blount
and just picked up Marion Grice on a speculative add given Ellington's status.

What's my best bet starting here? I'm leaning Gore and Stewart, however Frank Gore has burned all my trust in him with his piss poor fantasy performance this season and certainly in the last few weeks. I like Stewart's matchup particularly if Williams is out so I feel like he's a must start with my roster. Blount I feel like I should start because despite Belitricks and his Bolden nonsense last game, Blount still seemed to be the preferred guy? Not sure if I should trust it against the Chargers though? Not sure what to make of Murray. I think he can be a star, but even if he's cleared to play, is starting him against the 9ers a risk I can afford to take in the playoffs? Grice I probably won't start even if Ellington is out, but he's worth stashing and seeing what happens in case I make it to the next round, right?

My other situation is at receiver.

          Demaryius Thomas
          Anquan Boldin
          Brandon LaFell
          Jarvis Landry
Kenny Stills (just scooped on waivers)

Demaryius is automatic, no questions there. However I'm starting another and one at the flex. I was going to put in LaFell last week, didn't do it and it bit me. I think he could have another good game against SD and I'm leaning towards going with him at WR2. Boldin after last week's performance has me doubting him, though like Gore a matchup against Oakland seems tough to pass up. I feel like I'd be an idiot not to get Stills in there at home against the Panthers, but I also get the feeling that I'd do it and Brees would call everybody's number BUT his. Thoughts? Landry, I think is a solid option, but I don't know if I want to put my season in his hands against Baltimore?

Also, would you guys drop any of those guys to add Knile Davis in the case of a more serious Jamaal Charles injury? Oh and better play, Packers D vs Atlanta or Baltimore vs Mia? The Vikings D is also still on the waiver wire I believe.
          Blount, Gore

          Thomas, Lafell

I would pickup Davis and drop one of the WRs. Boldin, Landry and Stills IMO are equal plays. The upside of Davis is too good to keep your WRs that deep.

          Andre Ellington (vs KC)
          Isaiah Crowell (vs IND)
          Joique Bell (vs TB)
          Keenan Allen (vs NE)

A lot of match ups to consider, as well as a few guys who have been disappointing for the most part, but now are starting to come around.
Mason, Crowell, Bell, Allen, Ellington, in that order.

          You can't bench Brown.

Need some WR help this week.

            Beckham Jr
            Andre Johnson
            Denard Robinson
            Boldin
            Steve Smith
            Deandre Hopkins

Beckham is really the only lock imo. After that I'm not sure to go with Johnson or Hopkins, or both.

              Standard league. Pick 1:
              Brandon Marshall vs Cowboys
              Lamar Miller vs Ravens
              Kelvin Benjamin vs Saints

I have Marshall slotted in right now. If he is lined up against Brandon Carr for a majority of the game then good things can happen. He's had a relatively disappointing season though. I like Benjamin's matchup against the Saints but like Marshall, they are both inconsistent this year. Miller is last on my list. Of all the matchups, his is the least appealing for me.

A guy just dropped Trent Richardson, he'll clear waivers tomorrow. Think he's worth a spot start going against his old team?

With the suspension of Ngata, Miller's value goes up this week. It's a home game and I think the game could be a lot higher scoring than people are predicting.

With that said, I still think you go Marshall...but Miller is close.

How many are you starting? Is it PPR?

Becks is a lock. Behind him I would rank them: Hopkins, Denard, Boldin, Smith, Johnson

I don't think you'll have those options (besides maybe Roddy, and if he plays I'd go with him over VJax).

Not enough information. Besides what Deisel already pointed out, we can't even tell if you need 1 or 2.

I'd rate Hopkins over Johnson though.

                          HELP!!!

                          Can't decide.

                          Starting: PPR League
QB Andy Dalton vs Pittsburg Steelers

                          Bench:
QB Jay Cutler vs Dallas Cowboys

Cutler has the better upside based on the Cowboys recent performances.

Currently i'm just placing starters based on matchup.

Brown is the better player but the matchups definitely favor ODB. Bengals are second best vs the pass. I'm thinking Brown but maybe one of you can convince me to play ODB. My other two WRs are Jordy and Gordon.
Brown is the most consistent WR in fantasy. Can not bench him

                            Tre Mason (@ WSH)
                            Andre Ellington (vs KC)
                            Isaiah Crowell (vs IND)

                            Keenan Allen (vs NE)

A lot of match ups to consider, as well as a few guys who have been disappointing for the most part, but now are starting to come around.
                            RB Crowell
                            Flex Mason

That RB situation is pretty tough. Not a big fan of any of those guys this week... maybe Gore, Stewart but that is pretty tough. Neither guys really get a big workload

At WR I'd go DT, Boldin and Flex I'd go Stills

                            Packers D over Baltimore

Vincent Jackson, painfully. Doubt Ellington plays, White will probably be a decoy if he does, and well McKinnon hasnt done much

at TE I'd go Allen but thats tough... I think Allen is safer and Walker has the upside

Assuming you didnt go Marshall... then Kelvin in garbage time.

                              Can't decide.

                              Starting: PPR League
QB Andy Dalton vs Pittsburg Steelers

                              Bench:
QB Jay Cutler vs Dallas Cowboys

Cutler has the better upside based on the Cowboys recent performances.

Currently i'm just placing starters based on matchup.

                              What ya think?

Too late now but I would have went with Cutler definitely
