    There shouldn't be.

      The job is Jake's.

Yes, it probably should be Jake's, but if Jake gets injured again, which would not be surprising, it will be Matt's. I like Jake Delhomme, I just hope he does not get injured again...

Don't rule out Carolina drafting a QB in the 3rd to 6th round. I've been hearing QB Andre Woodson in the 3rd round and I've heard about a QB from New Hampshire in the sixth round. I'm pretty sure they will add some depth behind/in front of Matt Moore. Even if we don't go QB in the draft at all Brett Basanez was looking really good in camp before he got hurt last year and he is back healthy.

They made a couple moves today, signed G Keydrick Vincent. They are talking to OL Barry Sims, they are looking at DL Ian Scott and Tyler Brayton as well as WR Javon Walker.

You don't want to blow money on someone who isn't going to be worth it (Tommy Kelly, Berrian IMO - too much money) but you don't want to see everyone off the board too I agree. The Panthers need to build with the draft IMO instead of overspending in FA.

I'd like to see us draft a RB to go with DeAngelo and upgrade the LB corps obviously. We need S help and KR/PR talent.

As far as Peppers goes, if he wants tom be a prima donna and walk then that's fine. If he wants to be a man and try to get a contract done then that's fine.

I trust the front office about 75%, which is more than a lot of fans can say (Chicago, Cincy, Cards, Oakland, Detroit, etc.)

I've watched this team and been a fan since the inagural game in 1995, so I've seen a lot of bonehead moves and some brilliant signings and I don't think Carolina has particularly failed in any regard this offseason.

that's because they haven't drafted yet.

Leaving the team with Jake/Moore/Basanez at QB is a problem. Granted, most teams will be in trouble if they ever had to go 3 QB's deep like carolina did last year, but they still need to bring in a veteran QB. Jake might not be 100%, or may actually show some lingering effects of his surgery.

Carolina Center Justin Hartwig has been cut. Can't say i did'nt see this coming as he's been hurt quite a bit during his career.

                        Definitely agree.

So the WR's as of now are Smith, Moose, and Hackett. Seems alright for now. Oh and Carolina got Hackett for less than SF got Colbert...HAHAHAHA

Who else thinks Carolina gets a running back in round 2? I could even see them doing it in round 1...the draft is RB heavy.

That's a workable three, definitely an upgrade. LOL at the 49ers paying for Colbert.

I'm not sure they should get one that early...has to be a 3rd/4th round consideration though. It is a very RB heavy draft though.

                            Agree/disagree?

Well they got the OT, terrible trade though. I can see why they did it, since either the team makes the playoffs and the first rounds pick ends up in the 25+ range and it comes off looking great, or they fail again to make the playoffs and Fox & Co. get fired anyway. They knew they needed to make the playoffs to keep their job, so why care about next season should you miss.

That's the problem w/having a lame duck coach & GM. They start thinking about what's best for their tax bracket, not what's best for the franchise. # picks, including a 1st rounder for Jeff Otah? There's no way you can justify that decision. Even if he became a 10yr starter, they still would have given too much
