Re: Official Carolina Panthers thread
Yea, I want to lose every game the rest of the year. Its damn obvious that this team is going NOWHERE this year, so winning a couple more and getting around a 15 pick would suck. We need a top 5 because we HAVE to draft another major offensive weapon. Of course I'd love to get #1 and pick McFadden, but thats not going to happen.Comment

Needed the Rams to win today. 49ers are up now.
Assuming Carolina loses out, they may get the third pick. Dont think theyll pass the Dolphins or Jets.Comment

Glad to see people are ready to burn the bandwagon. I was so steamed @ Atlanta last year letting the Panthers beat them week 16.Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: Official Carolina Panthers thread
The fans turned on Carr and the Panthers quickly. After Carr's third-down pass was batted down near the end zone, John Kasay kicked a 29-yard field goal to cut the halftime deficit to 10-6.
But not before fans started chanted "We want Moore."
"It's not like we were purposely trying to not score points," Carr said. "They were chanting 'More' -- that they wanted more points. And we were trying to give it to them."

Re: Official Carolina Panthers thread
Looking @ the sched, if the Panthers can lose to the Niners, they've got a good chance to lose the last 10 of the year!! Jax & Dallas are guaranteed losses. Seattle & TB should be as well.Originally posted by VP Richard M. hey hey, hey...good bye!!!!
Struggling Panthers QB Carr demoted to 3rd string
December 2, 2007
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Struggling David Carr was demoted to the No. 3 quarterback for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday against San Francisco.
Vinny Testaverde was the starter, and undrafted rookie Matt Moore was listed as the backup. Carr was the emergency No. 3 quarterback.
The 44-year-old Testaverde returned after missing last Sunday's loss to New Orleans with a sore back. Carr started in his place against the Saints, and was 10-of-22 for 95 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Moore early in the fourth quarter.
The demotion comes after Carr signed a two-year, $6 million free-agent deal with Carolina in the offseason following a five-year stint as the starter in Houston. But when original starter Jake Delhomme was lost to a season-ending elbow injury in Week 3, Carr has thrown three touchdown passes, five interceptions and has a passer rating of 58.3.
GTFO Carr, hopefully I'll never have to see you on the field again. At least he'll look better with slicked back hair and matching gloves on the sidelines than he ever did actually playing.Last edited by bkfount; 12-02-2007, 12:11 PM.Comment

Re: Official Carolina Panthers thread
WHAT IS THIS, look at the creativity on offense so far today, WHERE HAS THIS been? Its actually been somewhat enjoyable to watch, and some of the schemes that they have run were completely unexpected. Nice to see someone trying something different. It only took them 2 and 1/2 years to do it.Comment
