Tatum Bell is at the Bronco facility getting a physical and a workout..

Edit- he signed. Hope he can hold onto that ball.

Peyton Hillis at 250lbs is looking so damn agile and he can plow through people.. Looks like he's going to get the start next week imo

You bet! I truly think he was underutilized today. When he runs, helmets fly...literally, lol. In the 2nd quarter when the offense failed to convert 3 straight 3rd and shorts and each time they didn't give the ball to Double-Deuce. I would think a lead in the 4th quarter is as good as sealed with him carrying the ball. Very impressive on the stretch zone runs, he sees the cutback lane very well.

I was impressed with Tatum Bell. Pretty good for a cellphone salesman.

What can you say about Spencer Larson? He is the example of what this team is becoming, and what I like...a bunch of guys that are hungry and playing hard. Not the most talented, but tough and having fun.

Gotta recognize Clady for his true pass blocking skills. Shut down some elite pass rushers in the past few weeks and just keeps working.

It's odd how this defense is better now with the rookies (Woodyard, Larsen).. like you said though, they're hungry and will do anything to get onto the field.

Tatum Bell, I called it . He wants to show everyone that could have signed him what they passed up on. The one weakness Hillis has is pass blocking/blitz pickups but overall I'm glad we got him, he's exactly like Hester but with more weight and power. PJ Pope had some nice gashes as well.

2 game lead going into next week

Yeah Clady has had a pretty quiet, sensational season. What was the stat given, given up 1/2 sack and two penalties.

Yeah, you called the Bell pickup. He had me puckered with his last couple of carries, just hoping he was grippin that rock.

Next 6 games against 3 .500 or better teams, with KC and Oakland at home.

Injury Update: Nate Jackson has been placed on the IR for a hamstring injury

Champ Bailey is looking to play on Suday vs Oakland, not expecting him to though since groin strains/tears are annoying as hell to deal with

Expect to see several more injuries that occur in practice the rest of the year. Shanny started practicing with pads a couple of weeks ago. He usually just goes shells. Ever since then our ypc on defense have been wayyyy down. I am all for the idea. However, there will be more injuries in practice.

Hillis had a nice game out of the fumble. 17 carries for 74 yards while hurting some Raiders on the way.

Woodyard needs to stop copying Winborn, looking like a jackass with his celebrations

I'm going to the Chiefs game and I dont even know if we can win that lol

You'll have fun because of the atmosphere. I agree, it will be tough to win. You know I am still dead on with my 6-10 prediction. I don't get upset with their loss, but I wonder how some of those players can accept a paycheck. The organization should have been handing admission money back to any fan dressed in Blue and Orange as they were leaving the stadium.

Is the clock ticking for Mike Shanahan?

At least the Grey Cup was on for something to take me away from that embarrassment.

I dont think Shanahan will be going anywhere anytime soon, this season was a re-tooling year and the fact we have so many injuries hasn't helped either.

This week I'm interested in how Champ does with practice, hoping he gets back to play against the Jets. I'm convinced Dre Bly will give me a stroke by the end of the season lol.

Looking into the offseason, do you see our first pick going to a dline, safety or linebacker? We need help at all 3 and its hard to figure out what we'll go with first. I have a feeling we'll be drafting a RB in the 3rd or 4th round that can take the majority of carries who hasnt been injured at their tailend of the college season

I think Shanahan is pretty safe, but after these many years, is his message still being heard, just a thought.

I was thinking of the same thing yesterday about the defense. I would think every pick would go toward defense.

They're leading the division in a rebuilding year when every running back on the roster has been out with injury, as well as arguably their best player on D... and they've made a rookie WR a budding star. Shanahan is fine.

As for the draft, the good news is if they miss the playoffs they'll have a pretty solid place for drafting a defensive guy. They might as well take best available. Defensive players tend to slip in the draft anyway.

I don't doubt that Shanahan is ok. However, watching the condition of this team sans the injuries makes me wonder what his grand plan is. I don't think the Broncos have had a defense capable of winning a championship since obviously their last title. Going through coordinators like socks is another concern. I am not at all calling for Shanahan's head, for I know he is one of the best, but I how long can this coach be considered one of the best when he continues to underwhelm year after year? Build a damn defense for cripes sakes.
