Cutler was a fool for giving the Packers bulletin board material.

      Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

My confidence in tonights game has been sliding more towards Denver losing. It isn't anything that I can quantify, just a feeling.

I think the first few drives by both teams will be a telling sign of how the game is going to go.

Anybody else having a change of heart?

Like last week, I'm expecting a victory.

I haven't had this confidence in the Broncos since 2005.

Yeah, I agree. It's nice to once again go into games with the belief that they can win.

My #1 concern is Dumervil. Single blocking all night and he did NOTHING.

Bottom line, you can't turn the ball over 4 times and expect to win. Valiant effort in the 4th quarter, but I thought we were beyond that. Defense held their own with 4 turn overs, though some confusion in the backfield allowed the Falcons to fly down the field several times. That needs to get cleaned up.

By and large, great run defense. This is the second team to use quick passes to negate Von Miller and Dumervil. But like I said, Dumervil was completely absent from that game, recording a mere two tackles. He was held in check all game.

I was also VERY disappointed that our offense didn't utilize any bootlegs from play-action. The way the Falcons were blitzing, that would've been perfect. And I'm rather stunned we didn't take advantage of their safeties gambling. McGahee ripped off another 100 yard game, we should've been utilizing that better than a simple shot gun play-action.

That all being said, you can put this loss squarely on the turn overs. Without those turnovers, we win this game. The Broncos easily beat themselves in this one. Matt Ryan had only 219 yards passing, and we held their running game to 67 yards, because they didn't have to go very far early on. We handed the Falcons a good 13 points.

It serves little to no purpose saying this, but Denver got beat by both the officiating and the Falcons. I understand...it is way too easy for any losing team/fan to immediately go to that card but I felt that Denver got hosed on numerous occassions. I feel like the game goes way too fast for them. They ultimatey got this call right, but that great catch by DT as negated by a referee that was looking right at his feet. How do you initially miss that? Don't even get me started on that pss interference call (on Carter...I think)...just horrible.

I also felt the defense played strong for the most part. Funny thing was, I never felt like we were ever out of that game. I guarantee you, nobody in that stadium that was wearing Falcon colors wanted to see Manning get the ball again.

Hats off to the Falcons, but I think they know that if that game were to be replayed, the outcome would be different.

We'll be okay...figure a few things out and go get Houston!

I am glad somebody else said something about Dumervil. I felt he's been underachiving for awhile now. Denver has to figure out how to generate some sort of pass rush with four guys. Overall, I was very pleased with the defense. They didn't get to Ryan but once, but they did force some throws with pressure.

I have to laugh at all the media and some fans that are swinging the meter the other way with the Broncos. Panick? Hardly. They turned the ball over four times and they were still in it at the end. Keeping things in perspective, this is one loss in week two to a non-conference opponent on the road. Nobody wins anything in week two, and it didn't necessarily surprise me that the offense stumbled a bit in their first road game. Patience. The offense is only going to get stonger.

I am hoping Hillman starts to prove himself in protection assignments and they can get him in a uniform and on the field. Moreno's mistakes are out-weighing his production at this point.

I've been a staunch Dumervil supporter. I was willing to forgo the fact that against the run he struggles and lean more heavily on him making plays rushing the passer but I think he has a ways to go to be considered a premier pass rusher.

I also agree with Jonsco on Moreno. Everyone thought that his play in the preseason was an indication that he was going to step up his game (even though he was typically going against 2nd to 3rd stringers). All I have been seeing is the old Moreno. I honestly can't think of a single game where he has been an impact player.

I have no idea who created the original fictional board, all I did was change the wording. Those stats are over two games.
