Frankly, I'm not too worried about McGahee. He hasn't been terribly productive as of late, and he's had fumble issues. I think Lance Ball can pick up the slack. I do think this could spell the end of McGahee's career. An MCL tear this late in his career? Yeah, I'd say he's done.

I would love for Moreno to come back and pick up the mantle. However, I wonder just how much the coaching staff trusts him given the fact that he hasn't even suited lately.

I agree. Losing McGahee doesn't really concern me either. As of late, he worried me everytime he carried the ball because of how easy he was losing it.

Denver's running game doesn't have to be dominant.

He won't be missed in the running game nearly as much as will at be at pass protection.

You would think Moreno would have a well-lit fire under his arse. I too hope that he will come in and carry the load. His experience will help his cause, but I do worry about his fumbling issues as well. He was running hard and fighting for every yard during the preseason. If he can show that he can block to protect Manning, he will get his shot. Otherwise, it will be Ball and Hillman splitting the carries. I think Ball is faster through the hole between tackles than Knoshow, but so is my grandmother.

From the mouth of John Fox comes news that it will be Knowshon Moreno stepping up.

I figured that would be the case. It's going to be very interesting to see how Moreno responds.

I know Denver has been looking at Slayton. I kind of hope they stay away from that unless they happen to lose another back.

I'd be surprised if they signed a running back. He'd have to come in and learn the play book fast. Might as well bring Jeremiah Johnson in.

I was very impressed with Moreno today and was even more impressed with the fact that the coaches committed to him to be the main running back.

A win is a win, and it is always nice to get out of Arrowhead with one.

Moreno came out of Kno-where with that performance.

Always a good day when we win at Arrowhead.

I don't care what the Chief's record is, they always defend Arrowhead well. That's a team that is missing just a couple pieces; namely, a QB.

That being said, I really want our offense to start putting these games away when the defense is putting the hurt on the opposition. Of course, if Prater hits all his FG attempts, it's not as much of a question.

Moreno played well, he looked like a guy out to prove something. I've always said that the kid has the skills, his issue is health (and keeping his shoes on). A healthy Moreno can be a threat. Here's hoping he doesn't let up. He certainly earned more playing time.

The Broncos clinch a playoff birth next week with a win or a Raider loss.

I believe the Raiders are already eliminated, as are the Chiefs. A Chargers loss or a Broncos win clinches it for us according to http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest.

Games like this make me wonder about Mike McCoy. Experts want to laud him as a head coach candidate next year. Be my guest, because I think he's a hindrance on Peyton Manning. I'd love to see McCoy go, then maybe we can bring in Tom Moore next year.

Not bad overall, but these first halves need to be more productive. We can't fall behind to teams like the Texans or Patriots in the playoffs. There's no way we can depend on our defense to hold the Patriots to 10 points in the first half while our offense tries to figure out how to throw the ball further than 4 yards.

I'm tired of McCoy's inability to take advantage of obvious situations. Example: 2nd down and 1, against the #1 run-defense in the league, and we decide it's a good idea to run it up the middle (twice). And of course, they sell out and stuff us (twice). Am I the only one who thinks that is prime play-action time? We face a team that frequently run-blitzes to stop the run (leaving their CBs in man-coverage), and we can't exploit that? Where were the screens? I cannot stand McCoy's offense.

Moreno looked pretty good, considering the defense he was up against. He performed better than Martin did. And speaking of which, kudos to our defense for keeping Martin to under 60 yards in total rushing. One thing I've noticed is that Eric Decker's production has shrunk recently. He isn't being targeted as much. Meanwhile, Thomas seems to continue to gain Manning's trust. Thomas is becoming the first round pick everyone hoped he'd be.
