I am in agreement with everyone here on Urlacher. He should hang them up now as a Bear. He was a total non-factor last year. I would rather see Denver continue to develop Irving, Trevathan, and Johnson.

Surprised not to hear of Dumervil's decision as of yet... really getting tired of his shinanigans.

I'd rather see a younger player like Irving sorta like Woodyatd got his chance and took advantage.Stewart Bradley was signed and was a pretty good young player with Philly then went to Arizona and couldn't stay on the field.Wouldn't expect much there.Urlacher was mentioned by John Clayton as a possible training camp signing and specifically mentioned us,using the Keith Brooking signing as an example.

As far as Dumervil,he now has the same agent as Freeney and Umenyiora. It would be in the agents best interest to get Dumervil signed with the Ravens being that he's the only desired 3-4 player,Freeney would then sign with us and Osi to the Falcons.Abraham, more than likely the Patriots.I would put the ultimatum out now though and set it rolling because Dumervil would just get offended anyway.Everybody's waiting for him and I'm sure he's enjoying it.Two offers are on the table since yesterday but now Miami may get involved. He's from there and would probably go there if the money is right to him and they do have the most cap room between the three possibilities.

Dumervil's feelings are hurt. Poor guy. He needs to feel wanted. Go to Baltimore. Please.

Funny. I just don't know what he is waiting for. Make a decision already so everyone can move on. What is a Super Bowl ring worth to him?? Baltimore has been completely overhauled...they are't going to repeat next year. But, I would rather see anyone else at right DE at this point anyway. They will feel privileged to play on this team unlike Dumervil.

I read where Dumervil will make his decision tomorrow and his preference is to stay in Denver rather than Baltimore.Denver's first year offer is higher but year 2 is the sticking point.Too much game playing going on if your preference truly is to stay.

Also, how can Dumervil even say that he wants to feel "wanted" after Denver showed him some love with 8 M on the table. Dumervil was the one who hemmed and hawed over it. Denver has said all along that they WANT him. Not once has he come out and said he "wanted" to be a Bronco. This is the same reason why I wanted Lloyd gone. Denver needs players who "want" to be Broncos.

I agree... let Elway and Fox pack your bags for Baltimore, Elvis.

Isn't that what he said yesterday.

Dumervil just signed with Baltimore. Good riddance. Denver will sign Freeney or Abraham very soon now...hopefully.

I'm surprised it happened today but there was obviously leverage at play and the term 'preference' isn't truthful in cases like this. You certainly never got that feeling and I wouldn't have given him the satisfaction.I don't feel he'll be as effective and any decent pass rusher can do what he did last year with a beast like Von Miller on the other side.

I'm in the minority here as someone who preferred him back as opposed to the alternative but the fact that he got butthurt because of his own mistake makes me say good riddance.

The Broncos will be fine without him.

I chalk it up as Jay Cutler syndrome, claim they feel not wanted to stir up a sob story so people feel that its justified when they chose to leave.

I wish Elvis the best, but he just blew a chance to win the Super Bowl.

I'm a little surprised to read that Abraham is the target with Freeney the fallback option.I prefer Freeney slightly but Abraham is a little better against the run and has generally stayed on the field a little more.Freeney is the more dominant pass rusher though and is 2 years younger. It's probably a wash when it boils down to it.I can understand why Dumervil was still favored out of the bunch but overall you can likely get about the same thing out of the other two.

To update;the Denver Post originally said Abraham before Freeney but it was retracted and it's actually the other way around.

Later Dumervil! Blame yourself for underachieving last season.

No doubt that this was the best thing that could have happened. You can't take on 4.9M in dead money and then resign the player anyway.

I can't believe that the Raven's coveted a Broncos lineman such as Dumervil. They handled him easily in their playoff win over the Broncos. Elvis was a non factor in WAY too many games.

I'm glad he's gone and this is done. Time to move on.

Elway's comments on Elvis being a 'nice' player who did some 'nice' things were great. Nice.

Exactly. I don't get why teams would go after him with big money. If you can't produce opposite of Von Miller, then something is wrong with you.
