It doesn't sound good for Miller. It's most likely his ACL.

*Edit* - It's official....torn ACL and done for the year.

Damn, just saw Schefter made it official.

      That hurts....

The up-side to that injury is that our defense played without him for 6 games, and we won. You don't replace his level of talent, but Sean Phillips had been playing well. So we know what we have in our replacements.

Von never really got up to speed after his suspension.

I'm stressing about this and I know he's not as good of a player as Von but Wolfe coming back would be big as we missed him badly for a few games until the game yesterday.

Trying my best to be optimistic.

I'm not stressed at all. Our defense gave up an average of 27 points with Von Miller and without him. Yesterday was our d's best outing of the year.

This team is built to win by scoring points. We never leaned on our defense to win a game. (Dallas game?) So long as they can make a stop here and there and create a turnover, I'm fine. Honestly, I'd stress more if Moreno went down for the year.

Edit: Chris Mortensen reiterates by saying:
            @mortreport
Von Miller loss is a blow but Broncos 6-0 during suspension. His sack totals 5 in 9 games. 3 forced fumbles but not same impact player

Yeah, I don't know that its that big of a deal. I hate that he went down, but I almost would argue that Denver played better without him, perhaps because they were a little more creative in their defensive schemes to generate pressure.

The simple fact is that they are only going to go as far as Manning can take them. I don't see them winning any games on the shoulders of their defense, with or without Miller. It would be nice to get Wolfe and Moore back. Bailey needs one last push - it's time.

Once he left the Houston game, they did get more pressure onto Schaub with their blitz packages. Miller was never really himself this season compared to before.

So the Broncos potential opponents are the Colts, Chiefs or Chargers.

Who would you guys prefer to see?

For me I guess I would take either the Colts or Chargers. Playing a team for a third time in a season seems to be a mystical feat.

Like the changes against the Colts in the cold and I don't see the Chargers winning in Denver twice.

I was thinking along the same lines as you.I think the Colts are better than the Chargers generally but they wouldn't really worry me outside of their place and without Wayne this time. The Chargers are the most schizo team in football. They can rise to the occasion but it wouldn't surprise me if they laid down and died. They really didn't deserve to win that game yesterday but I guess nobody deserved the sixth seed.

I'll be surprised if the Chargers make it out of the wild card. They're lucky to be there. I'd prefer the Colts, because I think the Broncos will have a chip on their shoulders to beat them.

I don't know who to hope for. Last year I wanted the Ravens as I thought they were the weakest opponent, but they got their defense back in shape and had Flacco's (Lady's) Luck on their side. KC remind's me of the 2012 Ravens. Therefore, I am not sure I want Denver to face them a 3rd time. I also don't want to see SD again... there is something about division rivals. They are teams built to be each other and those games seemed to be close. That being said, I guess I am wanting to see Indy at Mile High. A dome team with a young QB that also has not been the same since Reggie Wayne went down in their last meeting.

Honestly, nobody in the AFC is better than Denver. Bring on any of those teams. It is more about Denver beating themselves. They should be most scared of themselves.

                          This.

I don't know if it matters who they play...it's how they decide to play. Can they show up and finally play a full football game? I hope so, but typically it's about 1-1/2 quarters of 'Wow!', 1-1/2 quarters or 'Meh...', and 1 quarter of 'WTF?!?!?'. That's been enough, but that will get you beat in the post season.

Hopefully they can clean up their mistakes and play disciplined football. I believe they are fourth in the league as far as penalties. That's crazy.

The turnovers have decreased and it's been awhile since they've fumbled. Nice to see. Keep Hillman off the field in the post season. I would have much rather have seen them give Ball the extra work at the end of the Houston and Oakland games, but I get wanting to keep guys healthy.

                          Denver's real season starts now.

So true! They have mostly been a 2nd half team all season. What has been forgotten is that this D is dependant on this offense's ability to pile on points in the 1st half, not the 2nd. I think this why the D has struggled most of the year even when Miller plays. Get a big lead right away then pin ears back and get after the opposing QB. Then altitude takes it's toll on the opponents D later in the game at home so that Moreno and Ball can finish the game. Unfortunately, this has happened only a couple of times this year.

If Denver can play disciplined and turnover free football, nobody can beat them. I agree on Hilman... you can add Holliday to that comment as well. Those 2 guys could cost Denver.

Meanwhile the other 3 AFC teams in the playoffs are the only teams to beat Denver this year
