Possible, he counts under the "Bowlen wants someone from the Broncos past".

People are going nuts over Cowher saying he's open to possibilities. There's just one problem with that, Bowlen wont be paying top dollar that Cowher will demand and Cowher wants full control, something Bowlen has reconsidered since McDaniels.

I want a GM in place first, then the coach. Gruden and Cowher can be ruled out automatically for the contract they'll want to have.

Agreed on all accounts. That's why I think Nolan would make sense.

I don't think he would have a problem relinquishing power and he would come more cheap than anything else.

And on top of everything else, the best this defense has played was when he was calling the shots early last year.

Aaron, still haven't seen anything around these parts about DeCosta. They tend to keep things on the hush so that doesn't really mean much but just getting back to you.

I figure nothing will build momentum until atleast the regular season is done and most likely after the playoffs to talk to personnel on those teams

Looks like Elway will join the team by end of the season.

We know 2 things now- no one on this coaching staff will likely stick around after that craptastic performance. And theres a Top 5 pick to attract the next head coach.

Champ said he'd like to play with Tebow before he's done. Not sure if he means done here or done career wise.

Over on the always optimistic Bronco forum, when the interim was introduced, people were saying "man! he sounds like a head coach!". Sucks for any guy to get thrown in to finish the season, can't expect much out of him since his platoon was going no where fast.

Biggest blunder of this year, not signing Bailey to an extension so they could atleast get something for him in a draft day trade.

Jim Harbaugh's name is getting tossed around a little, somewhat to do with the connection to the Raven's FO appeal. Nothing really to make of it, Broncos aren't in a hurry right now to find their GM.

Anyone talking about Dumervil? Seemed like the team was doomed as soon as he got hurt but the talk seems like there was more expected, especially of the defense.

                  I learned 3 things yesterday.

                  1. The personel the Broncos have on offense cannot be productive without McDaniels calling the plays.

(edit: going to ammend this one a bit. I think they can be successful because there is talent there, they just have their work cut out for them going forward.)

                  2. The defense was hindered by McDaniels trying to meddle to much in their affairs when he was here.

                  3. Orton should just sign with whatever team McDaniels goes to.

I dont think anyone expected anything from the defense considering the overall age and yet another new scheme under a coordinator who's first season calling the plays is this year.

Dumervil hopefully returns to full health because without him, they have no shot of getting real pressure on the QB unless its 1) a miracle 2) the QB runs into someone by accident.

Ryan Harris I noticed has been on a decline as of late, he's been getting beat on the edge on what seems like alot from what I'm used to seeing- he somehow got away with the ridiculous hold he had going on during one of Orton's interceptions. With his injury list to his feet/legs, it could be time to move him to guard since Daniels (G) was cut last week. Just a random thought.

Guess its time to look at the options for the #5 overall pick in the draft, oh joy.

After watching last night's game, I'm intrigued with what it would cost to bring back both Nolan and Kubiak to the staff.

+Denver Post mentioned Jim Fassel as a candidate for the HC position. He won the championship over in the UFL this year too.

It's tough for me not to think what this team would look like if Shanny was still coach + Nolan as D coordinator.. (Is that even possible? Did McD bring in Nolan?)

                          McD brought Nolan.

Don't really know if Nolan was trying to have more power than he should (he was just coming off a head coaching gig if I'm not mistaken, and is definitely trying to get back to that level) or if McD didn't want to give him the amount of freedom he should.

RT @wrong_decision: What are the odds of the Broncos actually going after a big name coach? Gruden, Cowher. ... Neither will be in Denver.

Parcells, GM. Nolan, HC. Kubiak, OC. John Fox, DC.

Thats a ton of money. Would make for an interesting story if Nolan does end up back here.
