Yep wwharton. If the DL is healthy in the run heavy NFC Beast they could beformidable. They have improved the 4th ranked defense with these moves. Now if they can get Dock and hopefully start to fix the Oline.

Big Dock is back with us, that's a huge plus...Pete Kendall was not getting it done last year.

I like that, Samuels back with his boy.

Stupid. Campbell played fine when he had protection. Cutler's success was helped by one of the best WRs in the NFL in Brandon Marshall.

I'd trade Campbell for Cutler straight up any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Campbell plus whatever other crap they'd have to part with and it's not in the best interest of the team at all.

I'm a HUGE Ravens fan. But I like the Skins. I also live in Baltimore but work in Northern Virginia so I tend to hear more about the Skins than I do the Ravens unless I go out looking for information. I also would say I really started getting into football around 1985/86 and of course, Baltimore didn't have a team so I started to warm up to the Skins back then. I went to college in Pa and had lots of obnoxious Eagles fans around which made me get behind the Skins even more. Now I'm around tons of annoying Skins fans, but as long as they're not playing the Ravens, I want them to win.

I was gonna figure something like that. The skins get all the coverage and thats not a great thing. As for the fans, they make me ashamed to be a skins fan sometimes. I hate it when i know we might have a decent year and people are talking about super bowl tickets (6-2 start) . From what i saw at the end, i think Zorn has a chance. I kinda think its gonna be a hit or miss year. It will be interesting to see if the team plays to its talents, or just the same old disappointments.

I hear you. I don't group all fans. Most ravens fans are just as bad as anywhere else. It's just being a big Ravens fans, the stupid skins fans always have something to say (which makes no sense considering current history). I think the jury's still out on Zorn but no reason to be down on him at all. Same with Campbell. I think the Skins should get more turnovers next year with some of the moves they made which should help the offense as well. No reason to be thinking SB, of course, but no reason to think they can't make the playoffs either.

                        Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

Unlike most Skins fans, I like what we have. We have to let the leash off JC and let him fling it. I except a big year from Devin Thomas this year. Heard he was working with Moss during offseason then heard he was working with JC. Hopefully this Cutler/Sanchez lights a fire under his butt and he gets the job done. Hope I'm not seeing all them check downs he had last year. I think the O-line will hold up this year.

On the defense of side. Love Hayesworth, he's going to do wonders for our line. We really need an OLB, they're talking about putting Blades right there, I can't see that happening. He's to slow to be an OLB. I thought we were gong to pick one up in FA, but I guess not. Hopefully we can land Malauga to play there, I would love that pick. dude is an Palamalu Linebacker type in mye eyes.

On that note, I can't wait until the draft and see what we come up with.

On Zorn, I believe in him, like what he started last year when we started 6-2, but I think the leauge caught up with him last year, figured out what he was doing and game palnning, knew JC wasn't going to throw it down field, line was weak, so teams just blitz us. With a year under his belt, He'll be ok.

A lot of "what if"s out there but I'd think the leash on Campbell had to do with it being the first year in the system and Moss being the only receiving threat (ARE is a joke, the rookies were... rookies, and Cooley was needed to block a lot). That should change a bit. The D played well for the most part but got no turnovers. That's bigger than people give credit for. They'll get more turnovers with Haynesworth in the middle which will help the offense, and also make it not as necessary for the offense to play mistake free.

I'm right there with you. I think the Skins have had a pretty good off season.

Why have we come up as being the destinanation for Mark Sanchez? I love the guy, but 16 college snaps for a team that has huge problems along the offensive line for the next year or 2 with only 4 picks this year and only 1 on day 1? I may not have all the information that "Mel" has but seriously? I understand going after Cutler, but as I see it right now today Campbell > Sanchez, and OL needs > Rookie QB.

The skins are my team, but if we don't A.) draft an OT to help the line or B.) trade down and get more than one first day pick, this draft will be a faliure IMHO.

No way they go after Sanchez. They were also talking about what TE would be available if they trade Cooley... could've sworn the Skins drafted a pass catching TE pretty high last year. That's why even looking at these mock drafts is a waste of time.

Yeah they got Fred Davis of USC last year. Problem was he acted like a child and didn't get onto the field until late in the season. He could replace Cololey, but he isn't ready yet. Trading Cooley would be a PR nightmare right now, most popular player on the team. I don't see them going after Sanchez either, but I'm getting sick of hearing people talk about it.
