If we draft anyone but an offensive lineman with our first pick, violence may ensue.

I rather have a linebacker first pick. I believe Jansen and Heyer can handle that position for another year. Jansen said he expects a pro bowl year. See how they battle during preseason.

      Give me Maualuga

Even if that is true, we have very little depth along the offensive line. Franchise OT are rare and more of a commodity. I also heard that Maualuga had a terrible wonderlic score. FWIW.
I think that LB is also a position that can be addressed easier in FA than OT. No one lets franchise OT leave.

I hope they go after a lineman.

This was about as good as could be expected with all the best offensive tackles gone. They can use him on 3rd downs while he learns to play in the NFL. I like this pick if they wern't going to trade down.

When I seen him slipping, I thought for sure he was heading to Buffalo, and Denver I wasn't to worried about, but when I seen him there at 13, I couldn't be lieve my eyes, this was a dream come true 1st round.Couldn't have gone any better.Great Pick......

Man, I wanted Vinny to tradse up and get Rey in that second round. Could've made a trade with the seahawks. Denver did, I thought they were going to get him, but the passed. Now he stuck down in Cinci

Honestly we didn't have anything to offer, unless you want to give away more future picks. I like the idea of Maliuga(sp), but IMHO MLB is a position that can be filled through FA. We need to rebuild the Oline with the rest of this draft keep our picks and address the LB's next year along with a RB and more linemen, then the CB's and holes the year after that. If Vinny and Danny can get a clue we could build a strong team through the draft the next 2 or 3 years.

I agree, Malauga or Cushing was the two guys I was hoping would land to us at 13 but having Orakapo is even better, I can't remember when we had a pass rusher off the edge like this guy.

Now that our Draft has concluded, im left scratching my head a bit, a TE,and a WR with the final two picks, Now I know that we will sign a couple of Rookie Free Agents, but I was hoping that we wouldtake a D-Lineman or a O-Lineman, im kinda left wondering the logic in the last two picks, I basically see two Special Teamers from the outside looking in.

That is the problem with the Redskins and their scouting department and front office. Rather that look to find diamonds in the rough with those late round picks they use them to fill the off-season roster. I'm sure that there were players that could've filled a bigger need along the OL in rounds 6 and 7. But it's over and we still get to say we made the biggest splash in the off-season with Albert. But it looks like they made moves to improve the pass rush and add depth to the LB's. Hey if you are only gonna score 18 points in a game you better keep the other team to 17.
