It is news to some people...some of us don't spend a lot of time online and prefer offline gaming. I see your new so I will cut you some slack but I suggest losing the condescending attitude or you won't last long here. My PS network was down for 2 hours updating starting at 9am and after the NHL 15 preorder was available I assumed the demo would follow quickly. Guess not. Funny how you seem to know the time but when Rammer was asked about a time he had no idea.Comment

I"m only guessing, but maybe the ones with the grain effect should re download the demo. I had to re download games before. I have the ethernet hooked op to my ps4, and wi fi on the ps3. Some games on the ps3 I downloaded from ps+ were bad looking until i put the ethernet on the ps3 for a fast download, and it looked like a normal game.Comment

Microsoft does update their store more fluidly, though, so their stuff is usually available a little earlier ... just not that early!

Re: NHL 15 Demo Available Now on Xbox One, Post Your Impressions
My PS4 what a great EA hockey series book end. This whole exclusive for each system is getting very old for games that come out for both systems. I am convinced that humans can wreck just about anything we get our hands on. Boy I sure am glad I am an alien.....Comment

Playing demo, on PS4, seems like 1080p quality to me.
Was playing Watch Dogs on Ultra Settings on PC earlier with 1080p, then jumped straight into NHL after demo finished downloading, to me it looks like 1080p and not seeing any sort of blurr or anything like that. Apart from the opening cut-scenes of the cities obviously, which do look alot blurry compared to the actual gameplayComment

Re: NHL 15 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (Xbox One, PS4)
I am really torn on the 15 Edition. The first major issue is that I would have to buy a PS4 first, though i was planning that anyway sooner or later.
My major beef with the previous version was that after a while you got soaked into playing a certain way that was giving you success. There were certain plays that would give you a high chance of scoring and eventhough i tried to avoid them i would catch myself doing them just because i got used to it.
When NHL 14 came out i played Live the Life for the most part until i got fed up because you had to do it all yourself as there was basically no scoring when your guy wasnt on the ice. So i ended up with insane stats which took away any fun. Then the game got stuck in the shelf and i didnt play until recently.
I started a Season Mode only to end up with rediculous high scoring games. The first game back was still ok but already in the 2nd one i had a 10-8 and then over the next 5 games i managed to score 7+ goals per game. I had the goalie sliders way up but also "only" played on all-star i think but it was still stupid.
Now reading those first impressions, i am really concerned its a high scoring hell again where the human player dominates the CPU shot-wise but the CPU scores at 10-15% rate and you end up with 6-5 games or so.
If thats the case i think i am better of not buying it. So far i had the most fun with NHL 2k2 on the dreamcast and then 2k3 or 2k4 (cant really remember which one it was) on the PS2. They had realistic board play, high (realistic) save% goalies.
Anyway i just noticed that i am ranting more than i intended. So my actual question for the guys who played the demo is: For someone who only enjoyed the previous versions because it was NHL related and not because of the actual game...is it worth to give this another chance?
