what's also absurd is how bad the goalies are at some things (one-timers) but can flash the glove on with a reactionary limb save from a shot 10 feet away where they had to move and the shot came through a screen. The goalies are just so bad, NHL Hitz Pro puts it to shame. And it's not even that they're "bad" at stopping every scenario, it's that what gets rewarded and what doesn't with even something as simple as an unclean save/rebound-scramble opportunity is absurd. Or if you're in a scramble scenario and the goalie is down, they can someone float across the ice in their butterfly to stop the backdoor one-timer. How can games from the 00'-09' decade force goalies to plat their feet and respect momentum and a game from 2020 can't?

I hope I can adjust the difficulty so I can play on Superstar and really see how smart the AI is, as well as test to see if the OP CPU goalie is gone…2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

IIRC, the beta is going to be online only (like past years). So VS, Ones, Threes and WoC. So you won't be able to play with the settings much. Also if you thought the Goalies were OP and saved everything, Ouch...Comment

If anyone has a ps5 code they won’t be able to use, I’d appreciate it!

It's only 10:30 am here. Patience. I'm sure the codes will go out in waves throughout the day.

According to EA, the closed BETA was coming "end of August". Not many days left before it's September. Also starting their BETA on Monday would be ill advised (most people work or go back to school).
My guess is that they do the big trailer reveal later today and start sending codes shortly after (or tomorrow) so everyone will have the entire weekend to try the game.Comment

I mean it is possible. It would be the dumbest idea ever, but it is EA we are talking about. Why not have a BETA and release it when no one can play it, right?
But the smart money is on them releasing it tonight and we have the weekend to try it out when most people are not working or in school. Also the LG playoffs will be on hold until Monday. So yeah.
Tonight seems like a safe bet still...Comment
