And the fact that you can add the "just for gopher_guy" proves that you can get rid of it but choose to have it on there. (Not saying you physically type it every time, just saying you could remove it if you wanted to). And I find that kinda funny. Maybe it's my weird sense of humor.
Anyways, no need to respond to me anymore, I am done with this thread, carry onUniversity of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Re: Gary Thorne and Bill Clement again for NHL 13?
Like multiple people have said, the crew isn't bad, its the fact that a lot of the lines are so ******* dated. I do like Gary Thorne, but I wouldn't mind hearing Joe Beninati with Bill Clement in '14... The way Beninati says someone's name after a goal is so fierce... "SCOORREE! MIKE RRRRIICHARDS!" They really need to let Clement just go all out and add his little quirks into the commentary though, he is easily one of the best color guys around when he's on his game throwing out his amazing bits.
Just, for the love of God, no Doc, Eddie and/or Pierre if they change the crew up. They all suck something so fierce. I could only tolerate them if they only did the SCF and WC. I do not need Doc Emrick acting like every shot I take on goal is a monumental occasion ("SHOOOTING ONNEEE" would get stale before the first intermission), or Eddie O's constant pointing out of the obvious, and I sure as **** don't want Pierre McGuire self-promoting like he does between the glass, repeating the point he made 20 minutes ago fifteen freaking times like it was a stroke of Mensa-level genius.

The only way to make listening to Pierre Mcguire fun is this http://www.hockeyfights.com/forums/f...g-game-135224/
As for announcers I would love to see Doc and Eddy. At least Doc with someone else. Maybe Darren Pang ala the former NHL faceoff series made by Playstation. Doc just has so much passion for the sport and leaves me excited throughout the game. Is he a little over exaggerated sometimes, of course but he's still one of the best out there for any sport. He would really liven up the game if he got excited in the correct spots. With Thorne he often times gets excited at the wrong times and is late to the party on some of the calls in NHL. Still love the guy in real life though. Him and Clement will forever be my favorite tandem. Just brings me back to my childhood when the NHL was on ESPN.NHL-Minnesota Wild

I love Doc. I personally think he's the best announcer for any sport.
Sure he gets over-excited at times, but that's why I like him. He is BY FAR the best announcer when it comes to keeping my attention on the game. I feel like I can't look away when he's calling a game because his voice and inflection makes it seem like something awesome is always about to happen.
He does a great job with the little things like telling you where a player is from or where his 'hockey roots' are: "And it's over to Kessel, the forward from the University of Minnesota"
And when the crowd is chanting: "The chant is: 'Beat L.A.' "
Stuff like that really keeps me as a viewer feel like I'm more involved with the game and the players in it.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

The passion that Doc brings to the games he calls, makes me enjoy the games even more. Hopefully at some point Doc gets into the NHL game.1969 NFL ChampionsComment
