You just need to watch the installation video and do the things properly. Especially load the game with the F8 key so it loads all the new code, pre-mapped controller, settings etc.
Otherwise, you basically load the half-broken Wii game, as you just saw.

DJ bros, this is the issue that I have.

Make sure you have the US version of the original NHL 2K11 iso on your HDD. I am Good.

Download the latest version of the 2KHS mod from the link in the description. I am good.

Extract the dowloaded file and put the dolphin emulator folder into your documents folder. I am good.

Open the Ishiiruka folder, make the shortcut of the dolphin file and start the emulator with the dolphin file on your new shortcut. I am good.

Link the emulator to the NHL 2K11 iso by going to Config-path-Add and select the folder with your iso. I am good.

Then I click play. The black screen starts then shut down right away. The only way I can run the application and load any games is if I unzip the 2KHS folder elsewhere than in documents and run it from there, then I can load the game but the controllers won't load in game. My rig is a 7700K /Titan XP 32 Gb of ram Windows 10. I downloaded fresh versions of 2KHS,tried different ways of install. Same results. Won't boot any game at all if I migrate the dolphin folder after I unzipped it in documents.

DJ! I got the game running! All I had to do is click on Run as administrator on exe. LOL!!!! This is game is friggin awesome! I am running it in 3440x1440 on average 70 FPS! This is glorious!!!

Now I've gone through all players but those with an overall between 50 and 60 in the free agency.

With this rig you can make the game look even better with better Antialiasing.

Go to Graphics- Enhancements and pick something like 2xSSAA, that is what I use for 4K resolution.
The edges than looks even much nicer/smoother.

At last, I'm done with the cleaning.

What I did was put all active existing players on their current team. Retired players are marked with an x infront of their first name. Made up players have a y infront of their first name. That way the list of players can be sorted by if a player is retired or not and it will be faster to determine what player to use when editing. I will replace this current roster file to be used by others.

So next step will be to start replacing y-players with current players based on their age.

DJ, this game is friggin awesome! Been playing with the graphics settings. x2 MSAA , 68 FPS average in 3440x1440 full wide screen! Been practicing defense and offense all night! Finally , an hockey game worth putting my time in! So fun!!!

Hey DJ, got everything to load and changed my graphics and the graphics are really good. However, I don't have a Xbox controller, just so I am understanding correctly, when I start the game, hit f8, it will go to the Demo mode because I don't have the controller correct?

You can run a PS4 controller with the DS4 freeware. It is as good as the Xbox controller.

Have started replacing players now. Just realized there are probably not enough young players on this game to make up for all the youngsters in the NHL now. Do you guys know how many created players you can make on this game? What is the limit?

Yeah, I ran that yesterday, and it still is not recognizing it. Not sure if it is reading the game right either though, as I start NHL 2k11, Hit F8, but I don't get the new game, it just goes to the Demo. Reading some of the posts, it sounds like it might be trying to pull the settings thinking it is an Xbox controller? I know I have enough powerful enough PC and do have the American Version of the game?

Just start fresh again. I had the same issues first. Delete every installed copies everywhere. Reboot. Then re-download a fresh copy of the mod. Unzip it. "Cut the dolphin emulator file folder to Documents. Make sure you cut it so there is no x2 exe. trying to install at the same time. Very important part. Then go in the Ishiiruka folder in documents/dolphin emulator, right click on dolphin exe. Run as administrator. The Application should start running. Set your monitor resolution in Graphics/ General .Go in open, find the ISO. Get the game started. Press F8 when the screen start. You should be good to go. Don't go in controllers at all. It is all there by default. Get an Xbox controller for cheap. It is boxing day week lol!
