Ya, it is definitely slow and clunky if you think NHL 19 movement of players is a realistic simulation.
Just be prepared for that

Haha yeah, so you can test it yourself in a few weeks and see if it's for you, or not I'm having fun. Wish I could do even much more with it, that's for sure.

Will this version be a little easier to install and configure? It was certainly not easy the first time around. If I remember correctly it was running inside of a Dolphin-like emulator and it took a lot of tinkering to map the buttons to my controller. We also need a manual for the controls as a lot of things took a lot of trial and error to figure out. Your work is greatly appreciated!

Installed the game, ran it, got a black screen. After force quit I tested the old version again and it worked fine. This new one doesn't want to run for me. Yes, I followed the directions. I have the older version working so that shows I know how to follow directions. The F8 did nothing.

Great to know you know how to follow the direction haha.

Anw., before you copy the new version to your "Documents" folder make sure you deleted the old Dolphin folder from Documents.

It works for others, so must be something on your side.

I've tried it and I'm confused as to how to understand what's going on..

I'm getting pauses.. All good at 60fps locked and skating and playing around in the demo thing at the start but going across either blue line ends up creating a pause stutter and then it goes back to 60fps.

It's behaving like it's emulator or setting related as opposed to any hardware insufficiency or anything..

Anyone ever seen this?

Its because there is an issue with the boards and jersey letters textures.

They need to be in png format right now, otherwise, there are ugly grey lines around them.
Png format is much larger format than proper "game" format for textures, so if your system cant handles these few huge png textures it will stutter once this texture gets in the view, thus loads.

It will be fixed tho.

I love the work you have done. I want to take the time and thank you for your awesome work.



Sadly my 2 core 4 thread 7i7NUC can not run this on maximum settings. However, if i lower the emulated CPU speed I can actually run it on full HD with frame skip. Seems like the game allows it. So if anyone is having problems due to lower specs, try that! It will not be as fluid but playable and still nice.



I am currently working on "cleaning the default rosters", marking all players that are "fake" or retired. That way it could be possible to convert and make a current roster where players have decent ages compared to real life.


I guess you don't know how to change player ages do you? Or starting year in season mode?



Or even better, mod the files and even create a data editor for the game?

Unfortunately changing the speed of CPU makes all kinds of glitches in emulation.

In our case for.example it breaks many of the speed and animation fixes that I made with the new code, so the game feels very unpolished and arcade again.

As for the roster, we need somebody to make the roster editor. I can't do that.
