I'd love to try this out but I have a i7-6700 CPU, 3.4 GHZ, 16 GB ram, WIN 7

is that enough? I don't know how to overclock. No clue about that kind of stuff.

Is it possible for me without having major problems?

You might be on the limit or very close.

The problem is that you need to be able to run the game on 60fps, otherwise the code patch will break and the gameplay will fall apart.

But overclocking the CPU is VERY easy these days and you can do it with changing few values.

Just type your CPU and motherboard on the YouTube and you will see you can do it safely in one minute.

^^This has always been the attraction to NHL 2K10. Despite the wonky movements and other blemishes, the cpu A.I. will have that multiple pass play whether it goes in or not. I still see it time and time again.

I tried NHL Legacy Edition, but after a while it really falls short like all other EA editions.

I am so looking forward to this DJNEO. Not much left of November now, do you think you'll have to push the release date?


If you want you can use me (unless you have someone else to try it out) as beta tester just for the installation at least, in the 0.5.1 release the configuration was hard coded towards the user DJNEO. That was what my start script fixed (and once again you are free to use it if you wish).

1. One problem was that there were hardcoded djneo-paths in the dolphin.ini config file in the 0.5-release. It was not possible to start 2KHS without modding the file.
Paths:

C:/Users/djneo/Documents/Dolphin Emulator
C:\Users\djneo\Documents\Dolphin Emulator


Script replaces djneo with the actual user/or path from where running the file so that it works.


2. But even better the latest versions will make the installation completely portable so that you can run 2KHS and my addon for example completely separately without issues as two separate installs and it will also let you install and run from anywhere on disk, not just user document folder.


To do this just copy-paste the 2KHS folder to a new place and install addon-files there.
You can have a 2KHS folder anywhere on your drive, and you can have a 2K19 or whatever folder anywhere else.


3. Also it makes it so no manual install steps are necessary, more than naming the iso correctly and putting it in an iso folder, you just run the bat file.


4. Another thing is how the textures were (not) structured. It makes it hard to make addons to the game without overwriting your files, which I do not want. I put all files in a subfolder instead, so i can overload by making folders that dolphin will pick files from instead if files are present.

5. Last thing I added a workaround for the annoying freezes:
It copies the original savestate to be able to recover from freezes by mapping saving s02 to using mapped start button on controller so you can load it if problems occur and game freeze. Every start button/pause press saves a save state to be used if game freezes. You can always recover to last start button press. If you restart the game with the bat file, your old saves from last run will be replaced with the default savestate again.






To use:



Make sure you copy-paste your 2KHS installation to a separate folder first. I really don't want you to mess up the game if you don't have a backup...



Put this BAT script in the root of the 2khs install (the Documents\Dolphin Emulator folder).


Check what the script does.


DO NOT RUN THIS IN YOUR ORIGINAL FOLDER if you have no backup, since it moves files and if your new install works differently things can get screwed up..

Is playing with two players locally not possible? Me and my brother just tried to play the build that was released awhile ago with two but the second controller wouldn’t pop up on the screen.

You need to configure it using the config interface. :P

You need to configure it using the emulator.

We did, no 2nd controller appeared after we configured it. We tried restarting the emulator as well and still no 2nd controller on team select screen.

The 0.7 version will be playable with up to 4 human controlled players, using the classic Xbox like controller.
I use the Xbox one controller for example.

I know I got the second controller to work some way, but I think I had two completely different controllers. One ps3 controller and one generic usb one I think...

One of the things that I forgot to mention in that "A.I. shooting" video is that at close range to the goal a player now chooses this more appropriate tap animation instead of the big slappers.

Nope, I made a portable version as suggested on the Dolphins forums.

As I said earlier I don't think its reasonable to support any additional add-ons until the core "addon" (2KHS) is properly working and finished (v1.0)

I'm fine with the different (current etc.) rosters.
