I freaking love this game. So you are going to get bias opinion. But after playing EA for a couple times I am just blown away by how good this game plays compares to EA. It just feels like real hockey. I decided to try to make the goalie helmets closer to real life and it looks pretty good too. But Hank this game plays a sweet game of hockey. And the rosters are top notch.

just got the file back from TS, gonna update the lines etc sometime today (hopefully before the Pens game tonight). if not tonight, it will def be out early AM tomorrow.

Hey Fiddy,
How hard would it be to release two versions of the rosters?...The part I'm struggling with as a franchise player is dressing injured players and editing lines...

I'm thinking of having one roster set with no injuries and then one for a Play Now mode...just a thought...

i fell asleep after the Pens game lol.. i only got to Buffalo for lines etc.

im gonna start working on them here very soon.

as far as a franchise version of the file, with all players healthy so to speak. i guess thats doable. only thing that needs to be done is bring up the very few players in the minors bc of being on IR in real life. then go to each team and hit best line combos etc. thats all. the cpu messes up the lines anyway in the season/franchise mode, so as long as the players are on the active nhl roster all is well. i'll take a look and see how many are acutally in the minors. (i dont think very many).

ill post back my progress a lil later today.

You need to put all options to user controlled or else they will change lines and possibly sign players too. This is only relevant if players are injured.

and i watched the Pens and 24/7 last night.. got about halfway done lol. im gonna go over those teams again after last nights games etc. sorry for the delay!!

I noticed the other night when the Flyers got obliterated by the Nucks that they had had Aaron Volpatti #54 playing...I don't think he's on our NHL or our AHL rosters...
Can you doublecheck and add him if needed?

yeah i will add him.. i have about 7 teams left to do for the play now rosters so to speak.

i then will go through and check the IR's for each team and see who we sent to minors etc. call them up and just use best line feature etc for the franchise file.

as for the Franchise/Season File TS, still trying to figure out what would be best.

it would be easy so to speak to do, but here is my concern. i want this roster to be the one getting updated etc by us. having a second file for a Franchise/Season means, double the work with say ratings, sticks, equipment etc. ya know what im saying?

all you would have to do is this, take v4 so to speak. bc its the one you want to use as your Franchise/Season file. go to Team Rosters. check the AHL team via clicking the LS button. you will see the top guys (very few of them) in the minors. send down a player from big club, then recall the IR player. do this for every team, should take ya 20 mins or so. then go to the edit lines screen, press start i do believe and set best lines etc. then boom, all best players back in the lineup and you can edit that to your liking and then start the Franchise/Season. one thing you could edit prior to starting up is the PK units on each team. make sure mostly grinders doing that dirty work lol.

honestly, i may do this myself now that i just typed the above. but just for my Franchise/Season. i wouldnt do any edits to it at all and it would be a one and done type file for me. possibly do one again a few months from now post trade deadline to keep the Franchise/Season fresh.

so basically, i dont think its a good idea to release 2 versions. bc of the reasons i posted, double the work etc. does that make sense? you agree or disagree?

I see your point on how it might open up more issues. I will try the franchise out with all 30 teams controlled.
