I don't care either way, but you have to say that the Caps being out already hurts the rest of the playoffs. I was looking forward to Pens-Caps again. And so were a lot of casual fans. Oh well. If Halak plays like he has, the Habs have as good a shot as anyone.

Wow! The #16 seed just beat the #1 and the highest scoring team in the league.
I feel sick for Caps fans. And as an NHL fan I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. Caps are more exciting to watch and I was hoping for Sid vs AO in the Conference finals.

And like Dr.Jones said, this only makes Pittsburgh's march to the Cup even easier.

It's time for Washington to tweak the roster. Trade Semin or Fehr and get a true #2 center. To win in the playoffs you need depth down the middle and the Caps don't have that yet.

It'll be an interesting off-season for Washington. This team needs to become harder to play against in the postseason.

Wow. That was intense and I actually had a bit of the butterflies during that PP. I feel for the Caps fans out there. I've been there in 1993 when the Penguins -- a team that had a 19 game winning streak and 119 points (w/o OTL points) -- fell on their face going for their 3rd straight Cup. Heartbreaking.

I had zero desire to see Pens-Caps. Those games are too nerve racking for me to enjoy. I'm glad they're out. I didn't want to face them.

Boudreau should keep his trap shut next time about bing in the conference finals.

BTW the funny thing about Montreal winning this series....I started up a Playoff mode in NHL 10 at the start of the playoffs this year. I had all the correct teams going through to the 2nd round but Washington didn't make it. This was when they were up 3-1 in real life. Looks like NHL 10 was telling me something.
