Hawks get a must win at home against Minnesota. They still got a lot of work to do as they're 3 points out of the last playoff spot.

I still think all three of the West's talented underachievers (Chicago, San Jose, and LA) will be in a playoff spot by mid-April.

Minnesota certainly doesn't look like they're going to hang around. Just not enough consistency. Or talent, for that matter.

Talent's the key to success in the long term. I don't trust teams that have to work like demons for every W. It's too difficult to sustain.

Andrew Alberts out with a broken wrist, joining Edler, Hamhuis, Ballard, and Sweatt on the sidelines. Nolan Baumgartner and Ryan Parent can't be called up due to waiver reasons. Canucks calling up Yann Sauve, who's 5th on their AHL depth chart. Knowing Sami "Mr. Glass" Salo, he's probably one harsh look away from a busted kneecap. Not good.

Add Bieksa to the list. Broken foot, 2-3 weeks.

Tonight's D-pairings @ Nashville: Ehrhoff, Salo, Rome, Tanev, Sauve, Oberg. Where's Jyrki Lumme when you need him?

Oh Kane. It was cool celebrating after winning the Cup but this is getting ridiculous. He was out for a couple days with "flu-like" symptoms but it looks like he was just hungover. That just really irks me. You're in the stretch run trying to make the playoffs and this is what you're doing in your free time? That's unacceptable.
