Question to you hockey lifers...

Why is a sucker punch acceptable in hockey, but not in any other sport? I have my own personal view on this, but I'd rather keep my mouth shut because I don't want to create a problem...

It's not exactly an acceptable thing to do, but since the players can fight it's taken care of, I guess.

Solid win, indeed. Dunno about the "everybody's underestimating us" angle, though. As far as I can tell from scanning the net and talking to people I know, the majority think Tampa's winning this series. Between Stamkos and Yzerman and St. Louis' Hart nomination, Tampa received a ton of "hockey world" press this year. More than they received in Florida, I'll warrant.

Pretty disgusted with the B's performance tonight, they showed me nothing resembling that they belong here. Its only one game and I can't completely write them off yet because they've been resilient so far, but to have that lack of effort at home in Game 1 is awful. And someone tell me again why Seguin hasn't played in the playoffs until now?

Despite his G+A, his +/- was zero for the night. And he had a pretty tragic giveaway right in front of the bench. I'm not saying he's not talented but Clodd doesn't really like offense and presumably feels Ryder does more defensively. I think the rook they are missing more is Kampfer who is finally skating again. I'd like to see him replace Tomas K for at least a game, particularly given Tampa's trap and Kampfer's skill at lugging the puck.
