It's a really good atmosphere around the arena on gamedays from what I've seen and heard.
Newark is the best for this.

I was scared for my life when I drove through Newark. Of all places to put an arena, I have no idea why they chose that one.

The Arena District in Columbus is fantastic. I wish all stadiums had setups like that.

Zetterberg is out tonight for the Wings against Nashville.

Second nationally televised game of the year for the Predators! It's on the NHL Network (US region only).

I hate being in the blackout zone. It's bad enough that my building's rent-included cable doesn't have Fox Sports, but even when there's a free preview of NHLN, NBATV, or MLBN I still can't watch.

I did get to watch the Tigers in the postseason last year so that was cool, and a couple Wings games on NBC this year but that's it.

Local blackouts still exist? In 2012?

Yes, yes they do. The last time the Wild were in the playoffs, I had to find a bar with Center Ice in Wisconsin because FSNorth didn't pick up a couple of the games in Anaheim and the dish providers were forced to black them out in out-state Minnesota.

Staples is right downtown. I mean, it's downtown LA lol. The immediate area is fine but once you go a few blocks, yeah, not cool.

Fox Sports Detroit is showing the game. So anyone in Detroit can't watch the game via NHL Network.

Same applies with Fox Sports Tennessee. Anyone who gets Fox Sports Tennessee will have the NHL Network feed blacked out.

Scott Gomez has more goals than Cam Ward now. Tied Crosby for goals. with 2 on the year.

Boudreau working his magic again, Ducks are on fire.
