LOL at Rupps salute!! Wish he would have done it after the 2nd goal as well..
He's easily my least favorite player in the NHL.

The officiating at the end of the game made me sick, not as a rangers fan, but as a lifelong hockey fan.

How can you expect your sport to grow and become loved on your yearly national stage with junk like that? And it goes both ways too the flyers got jobbed on a lot of quick whistles around the net.

    Pathetic.

    Go Rangers
    Go Giants

C'mon Fid.... you Pens fans act like Hartnell is a criminal on the ice. Of course, he instigates, but are you seeing the type of season he's having?

As far as the salute.... it was just bush league to copy Jagr in that situation, especially when you're still trailing 2-1.

I just don't see how Detroit and whoever they may play could bring in 100,000 combined.
If Toronto was the other team involved (not that I'm expecting that to happen), Wings/Leafs would easily fill the Big House.

Varlamov pretty much stole the game tonight. If it wasn't for him, Kings win this game in a blowout easily. They dominated all game and should gotten the two points. Oh well, 18-1 in past 19 shootouts, 7-0 this year.

Also, Drew Doughty dived during the game that would have made Cristiano Ronaldo jealous.

Hartnell is a punk. Good to know I'm not alone in my assessment of him. Being a new fan and all, certain guys have jumped out as just unbearable. I'm glad I wasn't off.

Hmmm, even the NYR coach thinks this game's officiating in the 3rd period seemed a bit "off."

im not saying he isn't a solid player, when he just focuses on hockey.. he is having a very good one right now, but its hilarious when he acts like an idiot. then he seems to look around and act like he did nothing or its someone elses fault.

i always thought once Carter, Richards, and Hartnell were gone the Flyers would win it all eventually. well 2 of the 3 are gone!! this group the Flyers have now is scary IMO.. but when you have "losers" like Hartnell, they always bring ya down when it counts.

i just dont think they will ever win anything with him. i could be wrong, usually am, but thats just my 2 cents on him.

as for Rupp, bush league eh? its bush league to celebrate like that after a goal in general. i thought Jagr was bush league when he did that in Pittsburgh. Rupp salutes, then Hartnell had to say something to him "LMFAO" and then the wheels come off.. maybe if Hartnell keeps his mouth shut the outcome would have been different, maybe not. but he just couldn't help himself..

heck, did you see Hartnell raising his hands after either the 1st or 2nd goal? i cant remember which, but it was a bit over done while skating back to the bench.

I was at the game and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was awesome, and the Philly fans didn't give me that hard of a time lol. Without a doubt, this is up there with my top sporting experiences.

As for the calls in the 3rd period, while both were in the "grey zone", I'm sure the refs saw the time on the scoreboard, saw the stage they were playing on and tried creating excitement (which they did!). Fortunately, King Henrik wasn't taking any of it! Great game!

Varly was awesome last night. Erik Johnson scares me every time he handles the puck behind the net; it seems like he's moving in slow motion and is very delayed in his decision-making in regards to where to go with the puck.

Ryan O'Reilly continues to be the Avs' best offensive player. What a great goal that was to tie the game late in the 3rd period.

Can't imagine what it would be like to be at a Winter Classic.

                        Must have been awesome.

Hasn't the Big House already been filled for a hockey game? Or were there some shenanigans in the "official" attendance amounts for that game?
