A game where they tied it with 5 seconds left and then won in overtime when it looked like they were about to face an elimination game on the road. Did you hear that crowd? I'd be excited about that turn of events too.

Rinne was definitely outplayed by Smith in the PHX/NSH series.

Predators just couldn't get it past big Mike despite a ton of scoring chances the last three games.

I think MSG is just a weird arena. They did drop confetti for the Knicks win last night too.

To be fair, that was the Knicks' first playoff win since 2001.

It was a good thing they did too. Dust is a lot easier to clean up off of wood than ice.

Costliest penalties in NHL playoff history:

                1. Marty McSorley, LA (illegal stick) - Game 2, 1993 SCF vs MTL
                2. Bench minor, BOS (too many men on the ice) - Game 7, 1979 SF vs MTL
                3. Joel Ward, WSH (high-sticking double minor) - Game 5, 2012 ECSF vs NYR

Western Pacific represent. I guess we know who the best conference this year was (by one measure anyway)...

I remember #1 pretty clearly....that was bad. The Joel Ward thing tonight is definitely up there, I agree. That was a crushing loss for the Caps.

I find myself bizarrely rooting for the Caps. I hope they can come back. Of course, now that I said that, they'll get aced at home and be out. Leaving me with....the Kings?

Weird LA/PHX fact: they've played in the same division for 24 seasons, yet this is their 1st playoff matchup.

To compensate, they should be forced to have a Purple/Yellow vs. Jets jersey matchup for one of the games.

Brian Campbell, BUF (puck over glass delay of game) - Game 7 2006 ECF vs Carolina. The Sabres were already down 4 d-men due to injury in that game. That left Toni Lydman and Rory Fitzpatrick as the only 2 NHL caliber d-men (and that's being generous to Rory) left to kill that penalty in the 3rd period of a 2-2 game.

Rags dominated the game, yet somehow had to squeak it out. great win for sure!!
