I completely agree. The Rangers got Nash and basically gave up pieces they could replace. Erixon was the only one I'd be upset to lose, but with Staal, MDZ, McDonough et al, he's expendable.

Hard to believe Columbus held out so long for this package. He could and should have gotten more for him. In any event, I'm looking forward to seeing how Nash does with a legit #1 centre in tow.

Philly not getting Weber will hurt in the short term. With no #1 d-man and Carle gone, they won't be a legit contender. Having said that, they don't have another onerous contract to worry about. Yes, Weber will be elite for the next 7-8 years, but the last 6 will be an albatross....

      LOL. Don't get me started.
I'm not a fan of Doan's anymore either after seeing one too many dangerous hits.

But, when the NHL follows this as it's disciplinary schema, what do you expect?

OK, that chart has me laughing in my office. People probably think I'm insane.

There's things I like about Doan. Things like he's willing to stand up for his teammates, leadership, etc but he's dirty as hell. That said, I'll pay him 7.5M a year to have him on my team if it's on a 1 year contract

I wouldn't say bitter. Just annoyed that he constantly gets away with dirty plays but still parades himself around as a clean player.

That said, I'd welcome him back to the Jets for one year.

15 years after the worst signing in Canucks history, Messier is still screwing us over.

I hope he chokes on a Lay's chip.

Sounds like ownership at the time screwed itself to be honest.

Really wonder how potential lockout could impact NHL13 sales.
