    And the Peel stuff,... wow.

I can't believe the NHL hasn't tried to pay him to delete his Twitter account.

His tweets have confirmed what everyone has always suspected. There is bias, ego and directions from the league to essentially script games in a specific way.

He also thought the Gudas stick hold wasn't a penalty.

I'm not even a Leafs fan and I could see that was blatant interference as well as holding the stick.
The big factor too, they'd be able to spend money.

Not like the Coyotes now who are every teams feeder system for cap hits.

Coyotes had 15m in cap space by the end of the year, add another 30m from dead salaries and their team has probably 45m in actual cap space if they were able to pay players!

Voracek,Little and Weber would be LTIR, so that's 21m instantly in cap space the new owners would have to work with, combined with retained salary off the books, you're looking at almost 50M in cap space this offseason!

Great point. Move them to a city that wants them and an owner who wants to spend, and you can build a competitive team right away.

Basically an expansion team without the fees, and a star forward.

Except instead of drafting from other teams you're free to sign whatever FA you want.

Whenever they move, that team is my dark horse team for 2023/24. So much potential right there.

Imagine if Bedard was going there too! First pick of a new city is the best prospect in years. They'd be luckier than OKC when they inherited KD.

I was hoping CBus would get Bedard. That org has sputtered since conception and they could have used a generational talent. Him paired with Laine would have been amazing.

Logan Cooley could be really good too, though. Not Bedard level, but could be in that tier just below. Hopefully.

Sounds like the Coyotes are STAYING for this season.

            What a joke.

Is it just for the rest of this season?
I have to think the NHL has a plan in place for next year?

                I meant 23/24.

How can you even stay there at this point? If I'm an owner, I'm calling other owners and joining up to complain to the NHL about that.

You're literally losing money because of a franchise dragging down the rest of the league, and now having players who will refuse to play for that team.

Not sure how you do divisions with 34, unless NHL is crazier than I thought and go to 36 and do 6 divisions of 6.
When the devil came down to Georgia he also made a deal to give us 3 hockey teams.

When Georgia gets their team and puts them an hour away from the actual Atlanta area (where the rumored development is) so that no one actually goes to the games then QC will get their next team. At that point Atlanta will be singularly responsible for 1/3 of the NHL teams in Canada

They've got to move after this next season. The article I read said that there "was no Plan B" after the rejection of this deal. Sounds like this was it. You can't continue to play in a 5,000 seat college arena in a major sports league. It's embarrassing.

Just like the league not doing everything in their power to get either Reynolds or Snoop as owners of the Senators.
They should have paid them to take control of that franchise.
