Well last night went swimmingly for the Canadian teams. Very happy for them!

Now which of Boston and Pittsburgh will miss. That equation doesn't include Ottawa because I refuse to allow that negative thinking.

I've never been so excited over teams missing the playoffs. Small victories...

    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Awesome for Calgary! Watched those highlights this morning, man that building was rocking!

And, even though I'm trying to develop a personal rivalry with Winnipeg, I'm happy for them, too!

Imagine something like Jets-Habs cup finals. Games would be worth watching for the crowds alone! Really hope 2 Canadian teams match up in the finals. USA ratings/coverage might suck, but it'd be most watched NHL game(s) ever in Canada.

Pens face Islanders and Sabres. Sens face Flyers. Bruins face Lightning. Sens play Saturday afternoon so they'll control their own fate right away. Bruins(and possibly Pens, depending on result of Pens game today) will be watching that game for sure.

7 seed faces Habs or Lightning
        8 seed faces Rangers

Calgary and Florida have done great services.

So the Jets clinched less than 24 hours ago and I'm already sick of all the whiteout talk. I'm personally not a fan of it now because it makes no sense with the home team wearing darks.

It would be stupid if they did have whiteout and the away team is wearing white. Really, any color they end up making the crowd, just don't make it a color the away team might have!

Pens are lucky they face the Sabres to end the season. Lovejoy is terrible.

Now that Operation McEichel is in the bag, the Sabres are freed up just in time to eliminate the Penguins.

Pittsburgh look lethargic and flat. Without Letang and Erhoff their d look like a minor league setup. Why on earth did they get Lovejoy? Rutherford making some bad decisions

                        That would just be fantastic.

Hopefully Philly and Ottawa go to OT so the Sens can secure a point and playoff spot. Let Boston and Pittsburgh decide each other's fate.

What's the tie-breaker scenario at this point if Bos and Pit end up with the same amount of points? I assume Pit is in?

The first tiebreaker is ROW, If I remember correctly.

If they are tied the first tiebreak would be ROW and looking at the standings, Pittsburgh has one more ROw. Second tiebreak is head to head and I think Boston won the season series.

Boston won series 2-1, so they'll be in. Unless Bruins-Pens are tied(and Sens are at 98-99pts) and Bruins win comes from shootout.

                                Sens clinch with:
                                Win
                                OTL
Loss + Pens regulation loss or Bruins regulation/OT loss

                                Pens clinch with:
                                Win
OTL + Sens regulation loss or Bruins regulation/OT loss or Bruins shootout win
                                Loss + Bruins regulation/OT loss

                                Bruins clinch with:
Regulation/OT Win + Sens regulation loss or Pens OTL
Shootout Win + Sens regulation loss
I want to see a desperation strategy to clinch playoffs! Sens get a point and all tonight to clinch, but I want Pens to lose in OT and Bruins game goes to OT, which forces them to have to pull their goalie in final minute of OT cause a SO win means nothing. And then Bruins fail to win in OT so they are eliminated.
